I made my reservations for the GTG today. Surprised there was room yet in section F. Bringing my elderly mom and two dogs.

Would post a pic but am having trouble figuring out how . . . and I have designed web sites! Anyway, I have a little A-Frame pop-up. Look forward to meeting those of you attending.

Glad you are coming! There are instructions on posting pictures using Photobucket in the Maintenance/ Tech section, in case you haven't seen that. Here's a link: http://www.womenrv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=144

Yayyy! Another victim....errrr....sistah! :D

Pictures can be a pain, it's not hard, just tedious if you're posting a lot of them.

Called the rv shop yesterday and reminded them that I needed to borrow my rv back for a month. :D

I'm dropping off my conversion van and having an electric awning put on in the meantime.

The rv shop loves me.

My travel plan is on Tuesday, October 4th, right after my doctor's appointment (infusion for RA).. drive as far as I can and then stop for the night. The route from Panama City Beach, FL is not one I like at night so I'm not sure how far I'll make it. There are a few stretches where pulling over just isn't possible though.

Wednesday, October 5th.. is when I should arrive.

By Thursday or Friday, I should be backed into my spot. hahaha. Oh.. no helping allowed...at least initially. Like posting pics to the forum, backing in is a labor of love. Now if there should be hazard such as low hanging branches, then I'll grovel for help. By Saturday, I should have the MH leveled...and awning/chairs/etc out. Sunday.. crack of dawn departing...after a stop at the dump station.

It doesn"t appear that my shuttle bike kit to ride on water will be ready in time. Sort of disappointed about that as the lake looked to be a great place for a trial run with it...especially with people around to help if I got into a jam. But its just a minor set back and no way dampers my enthusiasm for this trip.

See everyone soon!

Wendy, what part of it are you not comfortable with? Is it something you can get some practice at? I royally stink at backing in so I actually look forward to times I am forced to practice. Pete, from the ORS forum gave me the best tip/advice... "If all else fails.. .just get out and LOOK". Amazing.. it works! Yes, I have mirrors and a back up camera but nothing makes me feel as secure as just getting out and looking.

When I see the crowds form... watching, pointing... I just smile. :D

When the betting starts and money exchanges hands, I'm always curious as to what the odds are that they are giving me.

Sorry Wendy, I won't be there until Mon afternoon. Leaving Fayetteville Sun, probably stay around Little Rock somewhere and get there Mon. There's gotta be somewhere along there you can spend the nite. PM me your route and I'll look for you if that would help you out.

I am going to try to get there Sunday but I will be coming from the South. Carolyn and Karen are going from the Texas Ramblin Roses Rally on Sunday but I haven't heard if they think they can make it all the way Sunday. I need to find out what time the office closes.

Wasn't there some talk about a Casino not far from the park in Mississippi? Most casinos have campgrounds or they will let you spend the night in their parking lot. They have security so should be safe.

I was thinking about inquiring if my site would be available on Sunday. And I also thought of the Casino as an alternative Sunday stop. Depends on how much fun I'm having on the Trace. There are 2 cgs I want to check out on my way with kayaking possibilities...a COE and a NF cg on lakes right off the Trace.

I have my fingers crossed that a deal breaker for me attending, doesn't happen. It concerns the timely shipping of my infusion drugs to the infusion center.

I just got off the phone and there is a chance, my meds will be delayed 24 hours. I won't know until Monday. Delaying my departure doesn't appeal to me. Its just too far to go for any shorter period of time.

In the meantime, going to think positive thoughts. I have had trouble with getting my meds in time in the past but at least today while on the phone, the rep told me why. My insurance company isn't allowing shipping time in their coverage of the infusions being every 28 days. So weekends, holidays, office closings.. aren't figured in. The 28 day intervals are not dated from the original prescription but from the last shipment. Last shipment was a day or two late due to Labor Day weekend. Therefore, the new 28 day interval is a day or two after my October appointment.

The infusion center is closed on Fridays... add that to the delivery delays... arrrgghhhh.

Happy thoughts.. positive thinking...fingers crossed.
