You will have to call the campground direct to see if there is still room. I'm not sure how many are going, probably between 15 and 20. Would have to go back through the post to see. The campground just takes checks or cash so I didn't have to make a deposit with my reservation. Some are going a day or 2 early and staying until Monday. I can't because my sister is going and she has to work. We would be happy for you to join us.

Can you tell me if there are still spots available? I would love to be there and meet you all, but unsure if I can be there in time. Can I reserve at the last minute? I will probably know by mid-October, will that be too late? Sounds like fun! I hope I can make it... Will keep you updated. Jacque

I don't think it will be too late for last minute reservations, but I would call the RV park and speak with someone that can give you an idea about occupancy at that time of year.


PS I (Carolyn) made my reservations: Arriving Thursday, Nov 17 and departing Monday Nov 21.

Got my reservation made. I arrive on the 15th and leave on the 21st. Just talked with Paula and she agreed to give me a Passport America rate for the non-Pink Flamingo dates. Isn't that super. That's why I am going in early and will go down to LaGrange and up to somewhere else (?-a little CRS here). Any one getting in early want to make some trips somewhere that we aren't scheduled for?

By the way they are deep in the middle of the "Antique" and "quilt" deal right now so probably be a good idea to call late next week. Also please note that with the dry conditions the smoking rule is you have to smoke only in your rig.....not outside ciggies !!!!! Pray for rain!

Hello, I am very new at this, and am hoping you all will help me learn the ropes. I am planning on being there, I have not made my reservation yet, but plan on calling in the morning. I think i will try and be there from the 17th to the 21st also. What is this about wearing "period" clothing to ???? Is that just for ?? workers??? I have no later plans, so maybe I can learn from you...on what is good/bad I wanna workamp or do volunteer work in ??? wherever...I want to figure out how to post a pic of me - and my new rig. Don't think the "period dress" involves the campers. Hope not cause my "period" dress is shorts/jeans and a top. That's about as dressed up as I get these days. Ain't retirement wonderful?

As for pictures. you need to set up first with Photobucket. Download your photos to Photobucket and then post them to the forum from there. For a better explanation look in the technical section for much better instructions.

Hey Jacque I went back and looked up the period dress...mine is shorts and T-shirt...found out that it is the Brenham Belles, who will be wearing period dress, while guiding tours thru some of the places over there. Not a one of us "period ladies" will be doing that stuff. At least I don't think so. Hope you come on over. Looks to be a fun time, again!

When making reservations you should mention that you are a part of the Pink Flamingos gals. The spaces have been set aside in that name. For those of you not familiar with the Pink Flamingos it is a group of fun loving rving gals. There are no rules, no dues, no officers, just a couple of GTG a year that are hosted by a gals who volunteer. Darlene Mullins and Shirley Guttenfelder-Hearn are the hostesses for this outing so be sure to let them know you will be there. The more the merrier and the more new gals we will get to meet. I know that Shirley needs to have a count for the Blue Bell tour on Friday and possibly some other things they have planned. Hope to see a lot of you there.

Hello all you wonderful people.... Sorry it has taken so long to get back with you. I am having problems logging in.. ...I forget my password!!!! I have made my reservations. I will be there on the 16th-my b-day and staying until the 21st. i am excited to meet you all...... I have been very busy tring to get things done so I can leave. i am moving things into storage, and getting my motor-home set up with (too much stuff-??) I hope not.... i am trying to find a small motorcycle/and bike to attach in a carrier so I got extra wheels, so far no luck. I am still waiting for the title so I can get my tag!!! Then next week I will be off to ???spend a few days at Turner Falls, OK??and ??? Looking forward to meeting up with you and getting to know you. Thanks for the comments, I will try and chat with each one of you, as I can. I am glad to know I do not have to wear a costume, I am allready in one!!!!!!! see ya soon. Jacque
