Wide-awake Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wide-awake Wednesday

Postby Liz » Wed Sep 21, 2011 9:19 am

I slept great last night....10 hours, I think. And now I'm wide-awake, but where is everybody? Times a wastin'. Yesterday I drove a short scenic byway that had some covered bridges and other points of interest in SE Ohio. I'll post about it later on my blog. There were 4 no-fee National Forest cgs along that route, and I stayed in one of those. My site was level! What is it about the free NF cgs that they know how to make level sites when the more expensive ones are so far off I can't get level even using all my blocks? Maybe that's why I slept so well.

Today I'm on the road, going farther than I usually do and will be in KY tonight. See you later.

HI LIZ AND ALL!

(Had to log on four times to get in here again. I have tried everything I can think of to avoid that frustration....just don't know what to try next. I can understand why some members do not post any more, if they, too, experience these log-on problems. I am wondering if it's a browser setting, my computer in general, an Acer issue, or what. Apparently it's not the forum, as most are still to get on as usual. Sigh.)

Glad you had a beer sleep last night, Liz, and fund a neat place to overnight. Hope you don't too tired today heading for Kentucky!

Today is my SS payment day, so I have spent all morning online paying bills and printing out receipts with my new 29 dollar printer. I still like having hard copies of transactions.

Temperature is up to 79 in the shade right now----BEAUTIFUL out there! Mandy has a doc appointment this afternoon, and I guess Molly and I will go take another walk somewhere----perhaps back to the river.

First I need to bag my returnable cans and bottles and put burnables into the house burnable pile under the roof of the garage. We need to have a campfire soon, and burn all that stuff.....when the wind is right so no fumes will go into the house.

Mandy and I will be going to her hospital for a breast-feeding how-to clinic. Why instructions are needed for such an instinctive behavior is beyond me, but perhaps she can at least find out what kind of pump would be best for when she has to go back to school and leave the baby with Daddy to feed. I will also get to learn the route to the hospital.

We had a yummy dinner last night at the local Asian Buffet restaurant ----I love buffets, as I can see the food, make my choices, and take as much or as little as I want. I always get as full as an engorged wood tick before leaving, however! thoughI didn't look like Mandy when we left there, I sure did feel as stuffed as she is!

Time to get outside now----I hope everyone has a good day wherever you are.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Morning all!
Well, I'm up and had my morning oatmeal.

It's pleasant and sunny here, I'm sitting and looking out the window and answering emails.

Tom should be by today and fix the idle.

I've been suspecting I have diabetes, so I'm monitoring my blood glucose, and will get in to the doctor this week (I hope).

Glad all the craziness with the rains has stopped for those of you back east.
