So sorry to hear this latest news, but at least now the doctors know what they are dealing with (hopefully!) and can get in and take care of it.

The vandal thing is just insult to injury, but your sister's health is most important. Tires and batteries can be replaced.

Whoops, missed the latest update....hopefully your sis can be stabilized for the surgery and that will help everything else to start working again. The vandalism? Minor stuff when put in perspective. Prayers and healing thoughts going up from Arkansas for you and your sister.

It has been a very long 10 days since my sister was hospitalized. Not sure we are much farther along in knowing what is wrong and she is still declining. She was evaluated twice for surgery and doctors say her odds are of survival are so bad it is not worth the risk at this point. As of Friday, doctors had exhausted all non and minimal tests they can - most have come back negative, inconclusive, or "likely related to severe malnutrition". They even did a needle biopsy of liver, no cancer but badly inflamed. Remaining tests require sedation and they don't want to chance that yet. There are a couple of encouraging reports - the pneumonia is better and her kidneys are functioning better than hey were midweek.
