WEDNESDAY AND WONDERING WHEN

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

WEDNESDAY AND WONDERING WHEN

Postby Nasoosie » Wed Sep 14, 2011 8:35 am

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

Another pretty day here at Pierrepont, after a somewhat rainy night. It's not much cooler here today, but is predicted to reach into the 20s back at my house tonight! I guess I should move my rugs in this trailer to make room for the registers of my furnace. I could use my electric heater, but I think it's cheaper and faster to rev up the furnace and use my propane.

Yesterday Mandy and I went to the bank (such a nice bunch of people working at that branch of my local bank), then on to WalMart to look for baby stuff! We found the basinett we wanted, but they are out of stock, so home we came and ordered one online to be delivered for free to that WalMart. We bought a bathtub, some neat little clothes, including his first Halloween costume---a skeleton onesie outfit!----and some nursing-type clothes for Mandy so she can more easily feed her new little son.

At home here, we put together the change table donated from my PA cousins and delivered by my bro at our July party, and a beautiful stroller with pneumatic tires that will go anywhere, including through the woods! Just after we got that together, UPS brought the car seat from my Sister-in-law that fits into the stroller as well as the car. This weekend, Joe will bring the crib. We are ready!

Coffee is hot, and there are peanut butter-topped English muffins for breakfast. Stop in and tell us about your day!

Happy travels!

Good morning Soos and everyone else that's it when bad! Most of you are not in bed you're just very busy. It sounds like things are coming together for that new baby how nice.
my neighbor Dave got the motor home all charged up and started he said to try again today and if it does not start it may be a new battery is needed. I am not exactly sure how all these two are but I will go and have them checked out.
Yesterday morning I put leftover goulash on the stove set the timer, went outside and got distracted by this and that and everything else was gone for long knows how long and all of a sudden I remembered the goulash was on the stove. When I opened the door my house was filled with smoke alarms had not gone off it was burned so bad that it was crunchy it still smells in here. I soaked the pan scraped the pan and have it soaking some more it is stainless steel so it may recover who knows. I get distracted so easily!
My neighbor came over and change the bulb in my outside light. I was so glad for that. She wanted to let me know she'll be gone for four days. I have such good neighbors!
Tonight shadow gets a bath his nails cut and some of his haircut he has a spa date.
I hope everyone has a good day and especially those at the Pennsylvania get-together it looks like a lot of fun,

I just had to catch the horse on the carport AGAIN. It is getting worse and worse for gates being left open. There is one gate coming from the barn that would keep the horse or cows from getting on the road if DH would only close it. If any of the other 20 gates were left open they could only get to the barn. I guess I need to hang a halter on the porch.

We had a few days of cooler weather but it's back to 95 again. It might cool off a little by the weekend.

I am suppose to be working on some tax papers that I wanted to turn in today. If I don't get a move on that's not going to happen.

Mama Bear's front's still up in the air

Postby Anniepoo » Wed Sep 14, 2011 10:35 am

But her front end's back together.
I helped! I helped disassemble the area around the radiator, and then helped reassemble it after Tom had fixed my belts.
I fixed my horn (not reliable before).
Tom found the ugly nrreeeeee.....nreeeeee.... noise that made me think my transmission was gonna be dying again soon! Turned out to be as simple as low power steering fluid level.
Several small repairs happened while we had her open. Headlight rim wasn't secure, we fixed that. Bundled up some loose wires.

We all got together for the big moment of trying to start her.
Tom tries, and succeeds in flooding her.... oops!
10 minutes later, I try, and succeed.
Whoa! calls Tom.... something dripping underneath....
A few tense minutes later, Tom crawls out and announces - its GASOLINE!
Turns out there's not one, but two, holes in my GAS LINE! For heaven's sake!
Yikes! :o :o   :?
So, that's why her gas milage has been irregular! I've been dripping gasoline out from under her!
OK - Tom's about had it with this stoopid machine... he calls it a day. He'll be back thursday with replacement gas lines.
Meanwhile, I'm living in a bomb (not really - the leak's between the pump and carb, so it only leaks when running).
When I die I'm gonna be cremated. I can't stand the idea of spending eternity in a box with no wheels.

Since you are having problems with the lines and belts being old you better check the brakes and brake lines while you are at it. Don't want them to freeze up or not work while you are on the road.

What fun, sounds like you have Mandy almost ready Soos. What is the due date?

Does anyone remember a song that goes You, you, you, I'm in love with you, you, you, tell me that you love me too...? I found myself singing that song this morning to Andy and I have no idea how it popped into my head. It must be a song from the way distant past that I heard my neighbor sing and play when I was small.

It looks like it is going to rain today, we need it so badly. The man is here mowing our yard and I can hardly see him for the clouds of dust.

I really got a chuckle at Vickie's reply yesterday to so many of us having hair cuts on the same day!

Annie besides what Martha suggested, have they checked your gas tank it may need to be replaced.

Soos, glad things are coming together! All you need now is the baby!

Annie, hopefully, after all these repairs get taken care of, you will be good to go for quite awhile without any problems! Good to have it all checked out and fixed now.

Being lazy today. Am tired after spending all day yesterday getting my old apartment all cleaned up. Need to start unpacking here, but probably not today. Gonna relax for awhile and then I am picking up Delany (the teenager) from school at 1pm, and then get ready for work at 3.

It is sunny today with a high of 80 but is very humid. That may be from all the water ponds and fountains around here, or from the breezes off the ocean coming up here. Also lots of mosquitoes here.

Hope you all have a great day and the GTG's go well!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
