Prayers needed for Echo

Kelly would appreciate prayers for her Mom. Echo hasn't been feeling well for a while. I am cutting and pasting what Kelly has posted on FB.

mom's heading to st. george in the am. going to the hospital. dr. mark called around lunchtime. labs came back from wednesday's blood drawing and it's looking even worse now. red blood cell count extremely high, white count extremely low. borderline stroke he's thinking. and her liver may be shutting down. all due to lack of oxygen... no clue what's gonna happen. i'm scared shitless and i know she is too.
. he took blood samples i think on the 31st? and she got a msg from him on her cell on monday but he'd already left the office and doesn't work tuesdays. he'd left instructions that if she called while he was there they were to interrupt whatever he was doing so he could talk to her. so she called wednesday and we stopped by on the way home and they drew more blood. he called today and let her know she needed to really be checked out and would have to go to st. george to the hospital there as the one in kanab isn't equipped or w/e to run the tests... her lower abdomen is quite swollen, causing her to walk funny. she's tired all the time, not getting rest because she can't stay asleep. mon n tues nite she slept all nite n it's been a while since she's done that. she just can't seem to stay asleep and most every nite she's waking up, sitting up in bed, dozes off n on. falls asleep at the kitchen table or in the lounge area down at the lodge. didn't think it would be something like this. don't know all the details but hope to soon. i'm working reservations tmro n told her to call me when she gets there n as soon as they can tell her anything.

Yikes, it doesn't sound like she should be driving herself to the hospital, does it? Please let Kelly know that prayers are being said.

Geez....I was wondering why I hadn't seen her post on FB in awhile...Don't like her driving herself either, but if that's the only way she can get there.. ...prayers going out to her and to Kelly....will watch here and FB for updates...

I will be sending healing thoughts and prayers to her as well. I wonder why Kelly can't drive her down there? Surely the boss would understand? I sure would want to be with my mom in a situation like that.

Thanks for letting us know and please keep us up to date (like Barbie, I do not do Facebook).

If I remember correctly, the first summer she was out there Echo was rushed to hospital with what they initially thought was heart problem. Turned out to be oxygen depravation and she was told to work at that altitude she would have to use oxygen. She used it the rest of summer and did well; they even had a small portable tank she used when cleaning rooms and a larger one for use at night. Hopefully that will do the trick again.

Please let Kelly know we are sending prayers and other positive vibes to her and her mother.

Healing thoughts and comfort going out for Echo and Kelly----I knew things couldn't be very good as we hadn't heard anything from those two in a long while. I just hope that whatever is wrong can be treated with something that will allow Echo to feel more like her old self again. I hope Kelly can keep us posted somehow, and that she can go with her mom to see what's up.

Thanks for the update....we are not connected on FB either and knew that they had been silent on the forum here. Will be thinking of them both. The unknowing is always frightening.....because it is so hard to know how to organize your strengths to make it through.
