This is a view of the Colorado River on State Hwy 9 north of I70 in Colorado. It's a view you don't always see.

I'm currently staying at Dinosaur Natl Monument for one night, then on to Flaming Gorge Rec Area.

Thanks for the pictures. That's a beautiful, calm Colorado River. Sounds like a grand trip you're on. Do you have a planned route or are you wandering where whimsy takes you? Or maybe a combination, which is what I usually do.

Beautiful pics Patty, thanks for sharing. That river looks so different from one place to the next - in color even!

Make note of our campground review room - we all need to start posting some reviews to it of the places we stay - to help the next person who heads that way :)

Colorado used to have all kinds of little overnight campsites along their many
rivers. I haven't been in about 3 years so I don't know if its changed but I always
liked those little campspots.

Patty ..something about that Colorado river......man I sure wish I was going there..but ya never know...I might get a wild hair and plan something...well.I might have to wait awhile. thinking about that gas price LOL or maybe be like a Gray hound bus and pick up some passengers..LOL What ever it takes !
