Labor Day Weekend

Below is a picture of my set up at Lost Creek campground in Mt. Hood national forest. It is the only picture I took since we had to evacuate due to a forest fire:

So I thought I would take some pictures of the interior of my little camper. Below is a picture of the front couch:

It has all the comforts of home, an air conditioner and 15" TV DVD player:

Furnace vent and cup holder:

Galley with two burner stove:

Kitchen sink with running water:

We are off in 9 days to a teardrop gathering at Mt. Lassen. Can hardly wait!

It would be too small for me, also, but I just love the incredible fit and finish of this little trailer! The wood looks gorgeous and the photos make me want to rub my hand over the varnish.

It is obviously very well planned out and everything is so convenient--not a half-inch of wasted space!

Have fun!

Really really cute! How long does it take to set up and tear down? Looks like a lot of work.

Love your camper and set up. I too was wondering about the time and # of people needed to set up. Very spacious and soooo new looking. I remember when my MH sparkled like that  Love the pillow cases. Where did you find them? I'm always looking for colorful ones. carold

A real cutie! Sure looks a lot more streamlined than my tent trailer did from years ago.

I love it!!!! Thank you for the pictures, I had been wondering how you were doing. The quality is so amazing, you don't see that often anymore, reminds me of some of the older small trailers that had the wooden walls and ceilings. You see them on ebay occasionally restored and so beautiful. I also love the pillows they make everything look so cozy and bright. Sorry your trip was cut short though hope you have better weather for your trip to Mt Lassen.

Really love your set up and enjoyed the photos. Like others, am wondering how difficult it is to get it all put together.

I do this by myself. My Mom is with me but is handicapped and cannot help. She does help me test the lights when hitching back up.

All the gear is stowed in the camper. Gear equals:

Northern Breeze screen house
REI Alcove Shelter
Two Lafuma recliners
Folding commode (for Mom)
Side tent
Indoor/Outdoor rug.
Bag with assundry tools and accessories for when we have hook ups. (There were no hookups in this campground.)

Clothes are stowed in packing cubes in the cupboards.

Food is in the refrigerator or storage bins. I must say that this part right now is the most pre trip time consuming activity, planning the menu, stocking the camper with food and since I haven't bought kitchen cookware or dishes for the camper yet, hauling stuff from home kitchen out to the camper.

Set up when we reach the campsite includes (while enjoying a cool refreshment):

1. Unhitching and positioning the trailer.
2. Leveling from side to side then front to back.
3. Putting down rug.
4 Setting up Side Tent and folding commode.
5 Setting up cooler table and end table.
6. Setting up recliners
7. Moving refrigerator from galley to cooler table.
8. Setting up one of the shelters. The alcove takes less time but does not have screens. Also may not set up the shelter until morning depending on how late we arrive and my mood. I only set up the shelter if we are staying more than one night.

For one night stays, the most that I would do is level the camper, make a quick supper and climb into bed. I would probably pack the gear in the car so that I would not have to move it. Whether I have to set up the side tent for Mom would depend on the bathrooms at the campground and how easily accessible they are.

This was the first time I set up the Northern Breeze and after staking in one pole it was actually pretty easy to do. I did not set it up til the next morning.

Next time I will take pictures of the set up from the back. It does not take all that much time and I do it at a leisurely pace (with cold beverage of choice.) I may also time it but will probably be skewed since I will be aware of time.

Taking everything down takes significantly less time when motivated (like by a forest fire.) We should have timed it! I just work my way through the list backwards and have a pre departure check list.

There are a lot of teardroppers who have much more gear than I do and probably take longer to set up. I am trying to pace myself and not buy anything more until I have more experience.

Now that is quite the setup! I love that outfit! You have the best of both worlds----a solid, safe, bear-proof place to sleep, and an outside, hear-all-the-sounds-and-smell-all-the-smells of the outside during the day! Thanks for taking these super pics! It makes me realize that setting up my attachable tent to the bed of my truck camper top might not be as bad as I think it is. I will have to try that again.

That is a really nice camper. I am also interesting in seeing the other side of the extended tent section of camper.
