My incident after Sharon leaves LA

Postby cpatinjones » Thu Sep 01, 2011 9:25 pm

Hello,

I am wondering what kind of "gris gris" Sharon left on me. LOL :D

I made a visit to the Emergency Room (ER) this morning. I woke up with severe cramps in my stomach. At first I thought it might be gas because my sleep apnea machine gives me gas now and then, depending how I am breathing the air in. I took a gasx and that ususally does the trick in 30 minutes. Well, it wasn't working. Since, I was going to the hospital in Breaux Bridge for blood work at the hospital at 7:00 am, I thought if I was still having those cramps I would walk a few doors down to the ER. After my blood samples were drawn, I was still having the cramps and developed nausea. Humm...not good.

I decided to visit the ER. Well my results are as follows: bladder infection, dehydration, impacted on lower colon, gas and poision ivy. I was concerned it may be just gas, then I would have felt like an idiot going to the ER for a gas related problem. She gave me a cortisone injection to help with the relief of ictching caused by the poision ivy and antibiotics for the infections. I was told to drink plenty of fluids and cranberry juice. After leaving the ER, I drove the drugstore to get meds and other items needed.

By the time I got home, I got a headache, infact I still have it now. The cramping of my stomach is tolerable at this time. Gotta get well for the TRR Rally in late September and the WomenRV GTG in Arkansas the first week in October.

Okay, Sharon, did you cast a spell on me? LOL :D

Ouch. And dehydration is so dangerous (not saying the others aren't) and can exacerbate almost anything. Drink your water, g/f. At least you went to the dr. And are on the mend. Hopefully a quick mend.

Dehydration definitely causes headaches so be sure you drink lots of fluids. Wow, I don't think I brought any problems back home with me.

Goodness Carolyn! Good thing you decided to get checked out and not try to tuff it out like someone we know. So far so good for me and I'm the one that usually gets sick in New Orleans. Where did you get into some poison ivy?

OK, I'm only taking partial blame for this one! She was working so hard in her yard trying to get caught up after giving up so much time to make sure I had a great time in her area. Poor Carolyn! At least you found out what it was and got it taken care of. Drink that water, GF! And some gatorade...that Pedialyte works but is some foul tasting stuff!

Also saw on the 'puter this morning that there is a tropical storm headed your way with up to 20 inchs of rain...be safe!

Glad you went to check it out quickly. Hopefully, all the meds will work and you'll be back to normal soon. Drink, Drink, Drink. I noticed about that tropical storm also. Whoops, Sharon bumped me here  carold

Having second thoughts about LA....way too much fun. Glad you saw the dr. Those things needed treatment.

Carolyn,

I hate going to the doctor! But in a case like that, it was a good thing you did.

Feel better.
