Another Tuesday Morn

Beautiful day here. My day off, but I can't convince myself I want to do anything. Maybe will just hang outside and enjoy the day. Have a few things I have to do (like get on my roof and make sure all the little limbs etc are off) but otherwise, think I'll save all the other "chores" for Thursday. Only work a half day then - so will have time to shop, do laundry, etc, without wasting this gorgeous day.

It's my 51st birthday today, it's also a work day... but as soon as work is done it's off to collect my mom and my honey, then off to dinner at a nice place.

GOOD MORNING BETH AND ALL!

I've been up for a long time, but was waiting for someone to open the coffee room, and here it is! Sunshine, cool temps due to warm up, things drying out here. The little towns around and about us here are trying to get power back on, shovel out mud from their homes and businseses, repair bridges and roads, and try to get some semblance of usability available again.

A good friend of mine is due to have surgery on her broken ankle this afternoon at about 2:15, so I will head over to the hospital to sit with her daughter and be there for when she comes back from lalaland.

I also need to gas up, using my 1.10 per gallon discount I earned from shopping at Price Chopper for the Ruckus, make an appointment to get my truck serviced and inspected, make an appointment to get trailer inspected and water lines blown out, get stuff from leanto, cover paddleboat down there for the winter, park the old trailer in the shelter for the winter, make sure I have everything I will need in this trailer for the trip to FL, see if I can get a yearly doc exam from girly-stuff doctor, make sure I have new prescriptions to take to FL, and then, I guess Mandy would like me to haul trailer to her house for the month of September, so she can have someone close by but not under foot as she does last minute preps for the baby.

The pressure she is feeling comes mostly from within herself, as she feels nowhere near prepared with gear to welcome this child, and doesn't want to have to give any more answers about names, dates, and whatever. This new emotional state of affairs is a change in her usual calm status, so I am suspecting hormonal changes are taking place, perhaps faster than everyone suspected.

Other than that, I have nothing to do!

I am hoping all of you are back with power, safe somewhere, and able to something fun.

Good late morning to all
As some may remember I've been on waiting list with tree service since the April tornados to get several damaged trees removed and limbs trimmed on all others overhanging the house. Not the best time for me to have to deal with this but they called at 6:00 AM to let me know they were on their way. They've already taken two trees down and are working on third one now. Looks like the job is going to require at least two days work so I've already canceled my dentist appointment for tomorrow. I hate killing trees and hate even worse what this is costing but at least I can get the roof replacement scheduled when tree people finish.

Soos - I love the photos of the sunset you posted a couple of days ago. Enjoyed the photos of the Ruckus too.

Going to take me a while to catch up on everything else that's been going on.
