Gees louise, I take a day off the computer, and I miss being able to tell my (sorta) good friend how much I am thinking of her and her bestie and hoping that this resolves itself. Thankul to hear that Geo is getting better, but the inability to diagnose is hard to hear. I am sorry you are both having such a difficult time, Mitchy! Please know that this collection of amazing women can accumulate an equally amazing bunch of good vibes which are being sent to you and George. We all miss you and are praying for a good outcome. (((((MITCH AND GEORGE))))

And Vicki, thank you for keeping us up to date until Mitch was able to get back on line. You really are a terrific friend to the Dufus!!! :? :?

I've had a few issues myself, but have been reading when I can. Thoughts and prayers going out for a quick recovery and trip home. Love you, GF! And aren't the sisters great? I've had my own guardian angel sister taking care of me.

You probably shouldn't get to used to it! Judging from past performance.... :D

Mitch,

I just know everything will get better and you'll be back home with George in no time. And when you do get home I'm sending Glimmer Goddess down to take care of both of you for a while. She will drive you crazy with all the cleaning and cooking and nursing she insists on doing. You just keep her till she gets on your last nerve then send her home. In the meantime I'll enjoy the break from her. But seriously, if there is anything I can do from here in Nashville, just let me know.

Some how my post of yesterday never made it on the forum. Probably too many good wishes coming in at once! Let me add that I am happy to hear of some progress however that MRSA is very serious. Will send good thoughts for George's continued rapid improvement and healing.

Good to hear from you Mitch. Hugs that it's not MRSA but MSSA. How on earth does one get that? If you need a break I have a few days and you aren't that far. Hugs and more hugs.

Oh my gosh. I just check in after a few days absence in General Talk and all this news about Mitch and George pops up. I've been reading but not always posting on the forum and noticed that Mitch hadn't been on for awhile. Kind of wondered. Don't need to wonder any more.

Mitch, you take care of yourself. Hope the doctors can get their act together and come up with a decision as to just what they are dealing with. It's so hard when one says this and one says that. I can just imaigne your nerves are frayed. But more hugs (((())))) and prayers coming your way from me. So glad that Vickie is keeping us up to date when you can't. Such a great friend you have there.

Much love.

I spoke to Mitch tonight, George was admitted to the local hospital today, from the nursing/rehab center. The antibiotics don't seem to be working. His leg was swollen from above the knee to the ankle. Blood was drawn today and surgery is scheduled for the morning. Please continue to keep them in your prayers/thoughts.

Thanks for the update, Vickie. Have both of them in my thoughts and prayers. So sorry to hear things aren't going as well as had hoped. Let's hope the surgery can take care of it and get him on the mend quickly.
