I just made an online reservation but don't have my site yet. Count me in for the Amish dinner.

YAY, Joan's coming. I think they put you in Site M - but will confirm that later. Shortly after I got to work this afternoon, the man who's doing online reservations this year came over and told me "you got another one". Made my day. Looking forward to really meeting you.

Unfortunately, The Sultan, Spinner and I will not be attending the LIW PA GTG....got a call yesterday from Ft. Stewart asking if we could come back early this year, as they had 2 folks quit at Outdoor Rec. and Campground and they need a Campground Clerk...(this is my job I get paid for.) So we are leaving on Aug. 31st to be there on Sept. 1st.....So you all have a grand time....eat lots of food for me.....and I'll be looking for the stories and photos....... :D :D

Well ori that definitely falls under the good news/bad news sort of thing. Sorry that you can't play in the woods with Beth, peaches , et al. but sounds as if your "trip kitty" might get a few extra bucks in it for later down the road..... :)

Lori, we're really going to miss you. And I hope you leave sooner than the 31st if you need to be there the 1st. That would be one LONG day's drive.

Didn't see anywhere here a sort of daily plan list, but I'm thinking of coming in for a day visit. I'd love to come for the whole time, but gd will be in school so I can't. However, if I head out one morning after I get her on The bus, I can spend the day visiting and get home around dinner time. Beth, let me know what day you think might be best when most of you will be hanging out at the campground. I know you have lots of day outings planned.

Paulette, could you possibly come on Monday? If so, we'll keep that a day to stay in - as that's also a day that Dee will be here. Dee has to leave on Tuesday. I'm kind of playing what we do when by ear, as the weather might play a role. I'm also worried about vehicles. I think right now I'll have the only one. Anyone else who will have a car or truck we can use for the sightseeing trips? With Lori and Ernie not coming, their truck is also not coming. I need to figure this out.

Or, if you could stay late enough to do the Amish dinner with us - that is being planned for either Tuesday or Wednesday (nned to call her and confirm which date) and it would be great if you could join us for that.

Hmmm, not sure about being able to stay for dinner but let me see what I can work out. If not I'll plan on coming Monday. Let me know when you decide definitely Tuesday or Wednesday.

What about several of us chipping in to rent a car for the days we need one? Maybe the sightseeing could be lumped on consecutive days and if there are days we just hang out at LIW it would cut down on the number of days a car is required.

Beth, did you post directions to the cg yet?....can't find them. I know I've been there, but can't remember how, lol. I don't particularly like the directions on the website....yours were better; that I do remember.

Directions:

Unless you come from north of here - then let me know -

Find 23 and 625. No matter whether you come from south, east or west, get to 23 and head to 625. There will be a sign at 625 showing you turn there for Lake-In-Wood, going north. Take 625 north to Oaklyn Dr. Again a sign ahead of the turn for LIW. Turn right. Go about a mile to Yellow Hill Road (another sign) make another right. This will be about 2 miles to the cg on the right.

Total distance from 23 and 625 about 8 or 9 miles, I believe.

Tomorrow I'll firm up the night of the Amish dinner and post about that. I'll also see what Enterprise would charge for renting a car/van. Can't believe we'll have this many people and no one will have cars :) Me having one is a first lol
