OK, I was hesitating a litle just because it looks like about a five hour trip with not much in the way of stopping places in between. I made my reservation the 3 thru 9, # 122. I have an old high school friend and his wife who will be coming to visit also from Mena Ark. don't know which day or days. Everybody bring admission for back in watching!!! Wendy.

Get the bleachers ready. Wendy arrives two days before me so that gives everyone time to get the bleachers moved from her site to mine. All kidding aside, I wish I could come earlier but I can't miss the monthly infusion for rheumatoid arthritis. Not real sure WHY I can't miss it, as I'm not -totally- convinced the stuff is working but I'm trying to be a good little patient since the nasty flare ups I had last winter. (my halo is down right blinding)

After the thrill of watching How Not To Park Your RV (aka What does R stand for?).. drag the bleachers to the water's edge for SHUTTLE BIKE KIT demo.

Oh I hope the whole riding bike on water works as planned. Haven't had much luck with the walking on water thing.

Some of you have kayaks, canoes, row boats, inflatable rubber duckies, right? Just in case I need a tow in or something. My toys have a history of breaking.

Yesterday, pushed my bike with a flat tire for 2.5 miles. Rv is still in shop (going to add that to my signature file).

What is the date for this GTG again? (I am too lazy to backtrack to the first page at this hour and in this Irene rain and wind.) And, if I get to FL, how far would it be from Orlando? I am going to try to be more adventurous this upcoming winter! With two such alluring attractions as Wendy and Alice backing up into a spot, I might as well think about adding a REALLY crazy back-up attempt of my own!

2.5 miles of walking in the heat is bad enough but working out with weights (pushing a bike with a flat) is just over the top. You are one determined woman

One of you gals with a video camera should be busy going from site to site. We need the video for us sistahs that can't make the GTG. We can also have a contest as to which one made us laugh the hardest. I, for one, will stock up on depends in order to view the videos.

The rescue attempt from the shuttlebike will also need to be filmed.

Sounds like a fun time will be had by all. Linda

Soos - I think you are looking at 700-750 miles from Orlando to this Arkansas Get Together. The dates are Oct 3-7 with folks coming and leaving before/after/during.

When I leave this get together, I'll be heading straight to Ocala.. which isn't that far from Orlando when looking at all things relative. Depending on when you are heading south this year, might be easier to start from NY, swing by Arkansas, then go to Florida.

Think about it.

This park sounds really nice and we are camping on lake front spots. Break out the water toys.

I also hope to do some geocaching while there. Not sure how I am going to fit everything in during my limited stay...especially since I am known to do NOTHING on day of arrival other than plug the electric in.. if even that.

I'd stay longer but already made plans for Ocala at a cross stitch retreat.

I'm now committed...site #123 3-7, 5 nights. I hope to get my kayak by then but might have to rent. This will be new for Rudy meeting so many new friends too. Now I'm getting excited
