Late on Friday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Late on Friday Morning

Postby Bethers » Fri Aug 26, 2011 9:41 am

I'm about to head out to check out one of the Farmer's Markets I haven't yet been to this morning. Have to be at work by 3:30, so need to get myself moving!

The kitchen is open for whatever breakfast or brunch treats you can find in our cyberspace kitchen. Reach in, and there it all is :)

Have a great day and stay safe. Those of you on the east coast, please batten down your hatches and don't do anything to get in Irene's way. Want you safe, please.

Good morning! Thank you for opening the coffee room Beth.
My doctor visit went okay. I got an injection in each shoulder and she tripled two of my medications and stopped the methotrexate. Hopefully this will help with all of the discomfort that I've had all summer.
My daughter Margie and I are going to Michigan to see my daughter Jackie's house. She will not close until September 16, by then I should be on top of the world! My daughter will ride the train back to Normal. And I will continue my visit then I will be off to Clinton Township to visit my son and his family. I will also visit a couple of friends. I had planned this trip for June but it did not happen so now it will!
Sarah I hold you are doing okay and that your sister has improved, please keep us up to date.
I know Soos and the rest are having a great time at the ruckus in the mountains!
Hope everyone has a good day those on the East Coast take care don't ride this storm out go to a safe place we care about you all,
Kathleen

GOOD AFTERNOON ALL!

Carol, running your Honda is a piece of cake, as even I can do it! Make sure you have the proper oil for it, and enough gasoline to run it when you need it. Set the switches to ON, give it a pull, and off you go! Then just plug in whatever it is you need. Might not run a high-powered microwave, but should run a small one. Will run fans and myriads of lights. I will test mine later today.

Shirl needs to be AWAY from all shorelines! As Dick used to say, "Go West, young woman!."

Richard left today, and his space looks very empty. Liz and Anita went bobsledding and whatever else they can find to do. Everybody else is scheduled to leave tomorrow, in order to get west enough to not have to meet Irene, and it will be very sad and lonely here. Pete and I are holding down the fort, and I am dog-sitting Roe and cat-sitting Bandit. Roe seems very happy to be outside my old trailer, asleep in the grass in the sun. No stress from him at all, and not much fun for me as I have nothing to do!

Mandy and the pony dogs are inside. Pete will cook his pork roast today, and I will steam a bunch of fresh vegies to go with it.

Everybody along the coast please make sure you are ready if Irene makes an appearance, and remains as strong as she has been.

Gonna go check the radar now and see what's what.

Happy Friday to all!

Good afternoon, Beth, Kathleen, Soos & everyone!

Beth, enjoy your shopping trip! Hopefully you'll find lots of good buys.

Kathleen, I sure hope you have a better fall than you did your summer and that the shots & change in prescriptions do the trick for you.

Soos, there is no doubt everyone had a great time at your annual ruckus. Before long, it will be time for you to head south to your winter home.

Other than double checking things we may need in case of outages depending on what Irene does, I am looking forward to a quiet weekend, putting up more bread & butter pickles and putting up spaghetti sauce.

Have a good day everyone and stay safe for those on the east coast.
