Prayers for sister - 9/1 update

My sister has been in and out of hospital several times this year. Mostly brief stays and doctors not finding serious problems other than severe malnutrition and dehydration along with near total loss of muscles. She had been doing reasonably well since her release last week.

Today she was in car with me and we were on the way for her first follow-up doctor appointment from last weeks hospitalization when she had what I thought was a stroke. Almost wrecked car trying to pull over and call 911. After another battery of tests and hours in ER and ruling out heart attack or stroke, they were in process of releasing her when it happened again. Thankfully, this time the medical staff at hospital saw it first hand. They said it was a major seizure, but don't know what caused it as she has no history of that problem. They quickly canceled the release orders and admitted her for more tests and observation at least over night.

Would appreciate prayers that this time doctors can figure out what is wrong so it can be treated and get her on road to recovery.

Sarah, thinking of you and your sister, and hoping the docs figure out what on earth is happening with her. How scary for you to be drviing along and have a seizure going on next to you. You have had one difficult time lately. Big hugs to you and sis, and keep us posted on what's up.

Sarah, I've been thinking about you, I am soooo sorry to hear your sister is still havng such problems, Prayers are certainly going up from here, way out in Kansas for you and your sister, its time for good things to start happening there. Take care of yourself, so you can keep helping her, you do have to take care of yourself first though.

Oh, Sarah, so sorry but I am glad she had a seizure in front of the medical staff. Like you said, maybe now they can find what's causing it. Of course, you and your sister are in my thoughts. Only a good, positive outcome allowed.

Wow, Sarah! What a scary thing to happen while you were driving. Glad you are ok and that your sister is getting help. Will pray for her and the medical staff that they diagnose her correctly so she can get treated. Yes, take care of yourself. You've had allot on your plate this year. Hugs

Scary times for both of you. Sorry to hear she had another seizure in the ER but what a good thing so they could see what was going on and can order the right tests and such. Will definitely be praying for the two of you and the medical staff. Our son had seizures for about a year and a half when he was a little tyke - very scary. So totally understand the seriousness of this.
