Sorry to be so long, just been having to much fun!! Drove 90 miles from Vickies house to Henderson, and... wait for this....absolutely nothing broke, fell off or blew up! And they say miracles never happen!!
I had booked into Cajun Palms in Henderson for 5 nites and when I got here, I was ready to turn around and leave..an absolute zoo here. But the gal assured me it would be a ghost town on Sun afternoon and it sure is. Lovin' it here now. So I called Carolyn and bless her heart, she showed up within an hour and picked me up and off we went to Breaux Bridge for some sightseeing. We're walking down the street and I hear some guy calling my name....WTH? I don't know anyone here! Lo and behold, it was my x-boss that I always visit in Ft. Worth. He and his wife are in the area on vacation and were sitting at a window table in a restaurant and she spotted me. So we sat down and had a drink with them. What a kick! A little while later Martha called and we met up with her. Then we took a drive out to a bird preserve and swamp. It was gorgeous! While there, her friend Karen called and she had pulled into the same rv park on a whim, so it worked out great. She was on the other side of the place (this place is huge, and that's an understatement) but this morning she moved over next to me. Really nice gal and we're trying to get her to come back to the forum. So, here's a few pictures. I "let" Carolyn take most of the pictures...and that's a joke for any of you that know Carolyn...her camera is permantly affixed to her hand!

Karen and I were going to take an airboat ride today, but when we got there we found out it was 25 more per person because it was only 2 of us, so we opted to forgo that and go home to catch up on laundry and some more pool time. Yesterday after sightseeing we were hot and tired, so Martha and Carolyn came over here and we spent some quality time in the pool and hot tub....much needed time! That may be a daily repeat outing.
Tomorrow Karen and I are going to New Iberria to the Tabasco factory and New Orleans on Wed. We had to really twist Carolyns arm hard to convince her she needed to call in sick and go with us to NO. Martha had to be convinced, too, but Karen and I are masters at that, so 4 of us are going to take NO by storm!
