Near Albany

Well ladies, I'm sitting here in Ghent,NY just south of Albany. Got a call from my SIL on Sat., that my younger brother was missing since Fri. morning. He has major problems financially, along with alcohol and depression.
After years of dealing with this my SIL told him he had to move out, no more sliding under the radar. That was six months ago and it's been put off and put off until Fri. Said he was going out for a walk then would come back to take a shower and then leave...well he left and didn't come back. My SIL found a good amount of cash we think he put in her purse but then is gone. The NY State Troopers have been great, lots of people out here the last 2 days, choppers, dogs, divers and search people. They found his cell phone in the woods (this is a very rural area) and some shot guns shells but can't determine if he even took any guns with him.
So the detectives are coming any minute to talk with me and then the search goes on., I hope...
I kind of know where his head is and he is really quite the survivalist, but I guess the biggest thing is we need some kind of closure.
Appreciate any prayers (or clues!) you .send this way.

My heart is aching for your brother and your family. I pray he is found safe and will agree to some help. Having lived with a depressed/bi-polar person for all my adult life I know what heartbreak and chaos it brings to the family.

So sorry to hear about this. Hope it will not end negatively for you and your family.

I also have a brother with drug and alcohol problems, so I know how difficult it is for a family. Please make sure neither you nor your SIL does feels guilty for making him leave her home. No one can control what he does, as anyone who has dealt with this problem can attest to.
