I met Colleen but sadly, non of the looooooooooooooooong dogs. Colleen (Goldilocks) and I (Goldilocks v.2) sat in every chair in Starbucks. This was was too hot. This one has too much sun. This one isn't right. Colleen politely listened to my new phobia of alligators as I wait for the arrival of the new water toy. (www.shuttlebike.com). She also suffered through the explanation of the Auto Free Exerise Program...and which local trolley had the best seats.

She told me of some wonderful places to camp and I look forward to trying some out. It was a GREAT morning/afternoon and hope we can do it again soon.

There was a geocache very very close to where we were sitting but I couldn't figure out how to look in the bushes with my butt in the air and no one notice.

We took pics. Waiting to see if Colleen wants to post hers. I think hers were better.

Sounds like a good GTG....do we have to listen to your phobia about alligators in Arkansas? None there that I know of....

I'm posting this picture but I am sure that Alice's are better. Hers was at least taken while we could see where we were on the screen. I was shooting blind since it was a "hold the camera out in front of us and shoot" type of picture.

I had a great time meeting Alice--wish we could have done it sooner so we could have met again. She is a very interesting lady with a lot going on. Her auto free exercise program certainly seems to be working because she is in great shape. I don't know how she does all the bike riding in this humidity; I guess the secret is to keep your mind on being able to fall into the pool at the end. We've been swimming in the bay near Steve's house and a lake near here called Deer Point, maybe better that we met later or I might not have been willing to go in. Her shuttle bike will be here soon but I will miss it since I will be heading back to Texas.
Alice, the pool isn't going to be big enough to do much riding on it. Lots of fun and we got our exercise moving out of the sun until we finally had to go inside. Alice has me even more interested in geocaching now.

What a nice GTG you two had. Alice, it doesn't look like Colleen is suffering any. :D Nice pic of you both.

That shuttlebike does look interesting. I can see using it in some lakes around here. That is if they get rid of the blue algae. The algae has been around for a few months now and they still don't know what it is or how to get rid of it. A few lakes have been closed to swimmers, which had to put a dent in the camping with the triple digit temps. There is always next summer.

My gawd.. I look constipated in those pics. hahahaha

Colleen, thank you for the kind words. Once you are through swimming in Deer Lake, let me know. Interesting things live there.

Yesterday, I was talking to someone about my new interest in alligators and he said "that's nothing.. have you seen the HUGE rattlesnakes swimming around here?"

Holy Crap. hahahahahahaha

I knew about the water moccassins, but mega sized rattlesnakes?

A few years ago, the sharks were coming to shore to attack.

Sooooo.. time to ease up with the phobia. Apparently I'm lunch on legs to many things and those things apparently have little interest in me.

Once I get the shuttle bike, I'll be Meals on Wheels.

Colleen - join us in Arkansas in October. We are camping on the water. Should be a really fun time.

Sharon, don't be too sure about no alligators in Ark, they have been spotted once in awhile in Ala!

I did a google search on alligators in arkansas - they are alive and well there...down right THRIVING. I'm beginning to think they are EVERYWHERE. Hardy suckers indeed.

While camping in Georgia, I was told by a ranger that the way they capture a rogue gator is to use a tape recording of a barking dog. Nothing atttracts them faster as they loooooooooove dog.
