Sun setting on July 30th, 2011. My old trailer in the foreground, and the distant purple mountains behind my local hills.
I just talked with my friend, Richard, from Vermont (the roofer/tiler, for those of you who've met him in past GTGs) and he plans to come here this upcoming Tuesday. He can help me get stuff together for the Ruckus, and then he'll visit other friends in Lake Placid between bluegrass festivals and my GTG.
It was a beautiful day here again, but, as you can see from one of the photos, I still didn't get my canoe carted to the pond yet! Mandy and I visited friends at Buck Pond, swam there all afternoon, and then picked blueberries.
'Til tomorrow-------night night.

Soos, what's your recipe for the blueberry cobbler?
(it's gonna take you until September before you get that pool filled up! Maybe you should have gotten a kiddie pool instead! You could be using that by now! )
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Thanks for the pics of your beautiful mountain home. I too would like your recipe. I love blueberries but here in AR we have blackberries growing wild and I love strawberries too. I can just see a hot piece straight out of oven with a scoop of ice cream on top. I have been thinking of getting a pool like yours. I could work in my yard for ten minutes and get in the pool for ten. That's the only way I can get outside with this 100 plus heat. Maybe a picture of the pond/lake is next
