Camping again at Otsego Lake

Postby Colliemom » Thu Jul 28, 2011 6:48 pm

Hi all,

I'm finally starting to catch up on getting some of my summer camping adventures posted. Has taken awhile as I couldn't get my Adobe Photoshop Elements to downsize my pics for some reason. Have since solved problem and now am back in business. So here are some from my June trip to Otsego Lake where I work. Nothing spectacular, bu I know you love pics. Will be posting the next couple of trips as soon as I get them downsized and into Photobucket. Enjoy.

A couple of shots of my campsite. I chose this site cause it's next our camphost site and we could spend some time together that way. She and I have become friends and we enjoyed a campfire one night. I was there for only two nights on my days off.

This is the south campground where I was camped this time. It was almost a year from my first camping trip with my new TT at this park only that time I was camped in the North Campground

I didn't do much on this trip. Walked the dogs once in awhile and since I was close to home and it was my day off, I did take the dogs home and ran some errands in Gaylord. Then came back and puttered around the park the rest of the time. Our host Brenda had to go home for a couple of days to take care of some business, so unfortunately we weren't able to enjoy all day Monday together. Just the morning before she had an activity to do with the campers. This is as many of you know, also the park that I work at.

It's beautiful. A great shot of your camper too. Hope you have many more camping trips this summer and beyond.

YAY, Sue! Great pics! Thanks so much for posting them! I love that site you had----beautiful view. Can you swim there? I think you may have already told me this, but I don't remember.

Can't wait to see more of your pictures, now that you have the posting mastered!

Lovely campground and view. Is that your extension cord in the pic? that's an awful long way to the electric box. Glad you are enjoying your camping. Linda

Yes, Soos you can swim here. We have almost a half mile of beach and it's the best on the lake and in the county for that matters.

Yes, that's my extension cord. On this particular site the electrical box is over a bit off to the side. Someo of the sites have been changed since those boxes were installed back when so they can be a bit away from your rig or else right niext to it. At one time the park had 204 campsites but 50 were eliminated in order to wided up other sites and make more room for the larger rigs out today. We do have some very large sites here.

I do camp ocassionally at the park, but I like everybody else have to pay for my site. The state does not give freebies like that. After all, there are over 3,000 employees iln summer, so if we all got free sites........
