In cleaning out and putting away after the renovations I found the Horizon Seeker plate the grands gave me for my birthday and Mike put it on for me. Kinda completes the look.
My bunk is made and feels really new since I took down the awful brown curtains (donated the fabric to a nunnery) and covered the windows with a textured glass look film. That's the grands' sleeping bags in the far front corners. My SIL made the new drapes out some fabric from her scrap pile. I just love the bright color.
Found some sheets I really liked at the Dollar Store and I think they make a great slip cover. I've got some sofa pillows at home that will go great with the blue/white.
My first visitors - Big Bro and his lovely wife Linda - said it all looked nice and the sofa is oh so comfy. By the way, Mike also installed my new stove cover, repaired the messed up leg on my table, and put a new plug on my shoreline (I hadn't noticed it was damaged). Tomorrow the plan is to sleep in then head to a nearby COE campground for the weekend and some kayaking and swimming.
Sorry I got so carried away with all the extras I forgot the whole point was the new floor. Here's my favorite pix of Mike putting the table back together and he's laying on the new floor.
Great floors. You can clean up so much easier and still have a throw rug if you want one. The idiots that put the light beige carpet in all the RVs obviously don't RV let alone camp and it seems to be universal across so many manufacturers year after year. A few of the new ones are actually starting to come out with vinyl and, of course, some of the more expensive ones have wood.
VERY nice! How great you have a handy bro like that! Tell him he has a bunch of women very pleased with his work...
..
Thanks, Mitch. He is quite handy, very handsome (I'm prejudice), and he and Linda are still like newlyweds always holding hands and doing things together after 45 years. I just love visiting with them. And getting the free labor isn't a bad thing either.
Thanks! Looks great and you're gonna love it. Best thing I ever did was get rid of the carpet! Unfortunately, I don't have a bro, so had to pay to have it done. Still worth it!
Only Irish coffee provides in a single glass all four essential food groups: alcohol, caffeine, sugar and fat.
looks great, new flooring is the agenda for mine too, have to get rid of the old blue dirty stained carpet. Beige and blue seems to really show the dirt no matter how many times you clean it, it is never clean enough.
