If it did, did you take that up too? If so, how did you get the sofa up so you could get the carpet out? That is the only thing holding me back at this point.

You know Beth, you're right. I am currently using a quilt I had in the house but it's bulky and requires a large washer/dryer. I may just go with a lighter weight quilt or blanket that will wash up easier.
