Birdie sent me the banner and it arrived today. After the First Great Western GTG I'll send it on to someone for the AR coming up in Sept. Just let me know who wants it. WOW, that banner gets around! Too bad Belle can't make it too.

Laura and I are in A3. Couldnt get a big enuf site in B loop as they were all taken. We arent too far away so should be fine.

I only have 2 more weeks to work (6 shifts). So I am on the "countdown" to leaving here and then getting ready for the GTG.

I am sooooo ready for some FUN and FOOD. LOL

Sounds like all you gals are ready for this gtg. When I was there earlier, I briefed the camp hosts about this upcoming gtg and they are well prepared for any contingency I think I left a stash for possible bail-out $$$. carold

I just got back from a weekend in Bandon celebrating my sister's birthday. It was foggy in the morning and evening but the sun came out in full force each day. Unfortunately, it was very windy! I took highway 38 from I-5 and it was a very pretty drive. The road is in great shape and there are plenty of passing lanes. There is a short tunnel that is plenty tall enough for any rig but might seem a bit narrow for people in a motorhome. There is an elk viewing area just before you get to highway 101 which is pretty cool. I stopped on my way home this morning and the elk were right next to the fence. I took a few pictures but haven't downloaded them off my camera yet.

The other alternative is highway 42 which I believe is also a good road. Its been a long time since I've driven that one but it joins 101 just south of Coos Bay so you don't have to drive through town. I hope the sunny weather holds out for the next few weeks and the wind dies down.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone in a few weeks!

I have yet to be on the OR/WA coast where it wasn't windy and cool. Planning on some jeans and jackets this trip, as well.
