Bucket list

Mitch mentioned in a reply that white water rafting was on her bucket list--
What's on your bucket list!?

Two of mine are:

Fish every state at least once and go hot air ballooning.
I'm not lost, I'm on an adventure!

Good topic!

Been whitewater rafting (3+)...wanna do a 5
Wanna RV up in Alaska and down in Mexico (oh, Beth - I was soooo envious of you and Sparkle)
RV for a couple of months in Montana and Canada
Cook Islands for a final visit.
Kayak and dive once more in Palau.
Sail Tonga and Vanuatu one more time.

Crap - that's an impossible list.
Wow - started the day depressed...now it's even worse...
Life sure can get in the way sometimes.

Mitch, going back to both Alaska and Baja are back on my list. And after the next trip to each will probably but them back on again :)

Ahhh ... something fun to share with others! :)

Stay in a hut on stilts over crystal-clear water in some place like Fiji -- hopefully for my 60th birthday/retirement.
Take a photo safari somewhere in Africa.
Go back to Europe.
Snowmobile in Yellowstone in the winter (duh!).

This is a short list. That's not to say that there aren't other things that I want to do, but these are the "biggies". And I think they're pretty do-able.

Thanks for starting this!

My Bucket List
Make a outdoor kitchen & Bar at the casita
Go to Baja Mexico w/ RV
Fly to Ireland and have fun with my friends Joe & Hannah there ( Hannah is from Ireland so I'd have a perfect tour guide)
Fly to New Zealand & Australia and have a RV waiting at the airport to take around the Islands
Go back to Mainland Mexico which I miss and love and head to Tonala and stock up on Mexican Art for the casita
Go back to Alaska and stay longer... I swear that was the best trip we have done, I know I shot more than 3,000 photo's!

Ultimate fantasy wish.....Go on a camera shoot with National Geographic Magazine photographers :D
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away

I've been up in the hot air balloon and it was awesome!

I've gone across the country in the big truck with hubby, but I want to do it again at a slower pace in the RV.
If there is such a thing as a 2 seater crop duster, I would love to go crop-dusting!

I am now living out my bucket list. Coming to Maine and eating lobster on the beach. That one can now be marked off. But do intend to eat more lobster before I leave Maine.

Want to go outwest and see all I can see out there.
Travel to Alaska by land this time. That is on the list to be done next spring.

I want to see all this great country I can see at a slow pace. Stop, look, see, why? because it is there. I have seen a hundred mountains scenes and find each breath taking. I have looked at the ocean from atop mountains and it is beautiful each time. Watched waterfalls, rivers flowing over rocks, birds of every color.

So my bucket list is being fullfilled each day and I love it. I am so glad this was my dream and I am now living it.

Wow Mitch! You have some things on your list I didn't even know were possibilities! The list will never end. (And never give up the dream)

My list: Visit all 49 continental states again and stay longer.
RV to the Maritime Provinces and Baja
Fly to Hawaii
When I finish all that, maybe I'll start on Europe...would like to see some of those countries too. And the African Safari sounds nice too.
The list will never end as long as I'm here on Earth.

[color=#800000]Tough to pick few enough items I would like to do, but hold a baby grandchild of mine is at the top of my list right now! Hopefully, I will be doing this one in early October this year.

Another would be to be strong enough and independent enough to re-climb all 46 of the peaks over 4,000 feet here in the Adirondacks, with nothing but a tent and a backpack. Being alone (with a companion, of course----just no crowds) on an isolated peak in the heart of the wilderness gives me a feeling like no other on earth. I began to feel like I really belonged to this wild world and felt like a sister to the all the wild creatures who live there all the time. Coming back to civilization was a shock to my being.

And, if possible, which I doubt in this modern age of camping and hiking, etc., and the crowds which those areas attract, I would like a repeat of sitting in an outhouse in Grand Teton National Park in the heart of the wild area, with the door open, and watching/seeing/hearing/smelling a herd of bugling elk thunder on by followed by a pack of wolves howling as they chased! It was a moment in time that will likely never be repeated, but I sure would like to try to find a place where it would be possible to experience that feeling of being a part of the wild world unfamiliar to me once again.

Other than those, I am living my dream to be able to live in two areas of the country which I love for different reasons each half year......Orlando,
FL in the winter, and my Adirondack campsite in the summers. What more could I wish for? I really don't like doing the 'tourist' things at all----don't know as I ever did, actually. But I do enjoy seeing parts of the back roads and learning the history as I travel without having to go to a 'specified' area.

Interesting thread!

There are several fishing lakes close to here (and deep sea fishing 60 miles away) and hot air ballooning just 5 miles up the road....just sayin'. Hotel and rv resort LeSharon is always open with reasonable rates, kitchen and bath privileges included.
Only Irish coffee provides in a single glass all four essential food groups: alcohol, caffeine, sugar and fat.

From others lists, it sounds like we need a GTG in Baja and Alaska. Those two are on my list.
I love Paris and would love to spend a few months there while I relearn French.
Traveling in my RV is on my list.
Wanted to be a grandma, but it ain't happening unless I adopt a grandchild.
Win the lottery and use some of the money to help single mothers (been there, so I know how tough it can be)
I didn't have a long bucket list to start with and have already completed most of it.
Try to stay healthy and happy.

1. Visit every national park in the U.S.

2. Rent a cottage for a week in each of the following:
- Orkney, Scotland
- Islay, Scotland
- Lake District, England
- Cotswolds, England
- Yorkshire, England

3. Take my grandchildren to London, except I doubt if their parents would let me do that. One set of parents is very protective, but maybe other set will. Want to be a "Grandma Mame." Kids need to get a little older, in any case.

I haven't officially started my Bucket List, but for sure, I want to visit every state in the USA, and as many state and national parks, forest COE, etc as possible.
