Valley Forge

Today I met up with Dee and we attempted to ignore the heat and humidity the best we could - while we toured Valley Forge.

This is very picture heavy if you have a slow connection:

Lenora, this can go along with your post - in saluting our servicement and women - as this is where they started.

Beth, that pictorial touched me so much. The statue of the mother on her knees brought me to tears.

I also am intrigued by the archaeologists who are digging up treasures and learning more about our forefathers lives. They were doing much the same thing in Williamsburg when I was there 10 or so years ago.

Thank you, Beth.

Thanks for the wonderful tour. We did the tour in school. I like yours more :D History is much more fun when you learn what you want and not what they feel you need to learn. It was great that Peaches was able to go on the tour as well, as well as Dee.  :o Thanks again. Linda
