Hi Sistas,
As I sit at the last campground we are going to be staying at, all I can say is Whew, what a ride, As you know, we left home on May 1st. I haven't posted because I am not sure that the west knows that AT&T exists. Less than one bar, or no bars at all, made it sketchy posting trip reports. Gonna take a chance that I don't lost this in cyber space like the other 3 I have written at other times. We will be pulling in to the camp on Friday morning. We will have been gone 2 months and 15 days. In that time we have driven 8,759 miles, visited 13 states and camped at 9 national parks, and many state parks and private campgrounds. I loved every minute of it!! We baked in west Texas and Arizona, froze our butts off in Oregon and Washington, climbed every mountain on the road, saw more beautiful countryside than I thought there was. But am looking forward to getting to the house where I don't have to put the room out or take it in. LOL
Hopefully in the near future I will be able to get some pictures up for you to enjoy. Just gonna take me a while to get it all done.

Sounds like you've had a wonderful trip. Our cellphone service switched from Alltel to ATT in April and we've had nothing but trouble. Our phones work great in our house (we're only about a half mile from a tower) but if we're not home it's one dropped call after another. Not impressed.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Glad to hear the trip has been good.

With the swtich in phone cos, make sure your phone is now compatible - my friends had to get new phones and then all the dropped calls, etc stopped. You'd think they'd tell you about that possibility, eh?

Hi Sharon,
Well come on down girl, just be sure Hope's AC is in good condition. Give me a buzz when you get here and we can go have lunch somewhere.

Expect full bird report, all the way from lifers to old friends, too. Glad you had a good time and I am going to rest a bit for you this afternoon. Okay, I'll rest for both of you.

Wow, I'm impressed. I can't wait to hear details and see pix. I understand about AT&T out west. After my trip to AZ last Christmas I picked up a Verizon mifi card to boost my coverage. It worked great in the NE. As soon as my phone contract with AT&T is up I'm getting rid of them for good.

Sounds like a great trip. My sister and I have AT&T and some places I'll have reception and she won't. Same coverage, different phones. My phone is one I have had for a few years and when the battery went bad I paid $35 for a new battery when I could have had a free new phone. It has an external antenna that is about an inch long. I hate to have to learn all the new things that come with a new phone so I will have this one until it goes belly up or they change the system again. I had a bag phone longer than anyone I know.
