My name is Barbara and my husband found this group and thought I would like it. Have lurked around a little and think it is terrific. We have three grown and gone children, 5 grandchildren--the oldest 18 and "all grown up" (by his statement, haha) and the youngest 6 yr old twin girls. My DH is planning on retiring in Dec and we hope to start moving toward full-timing but most probably months-long timing to begin with till we get things settled. I enjoy knitting and reading and we have four mutt doggies of the Disney/Benji type variety that we will be traveling with. We have a Jayco Eagle 5th wheel which is parked in a campground now and we spends weekends there with the twins and dogs. As we move along toward the retirement date, I hope to get some tips about organizing the rig. That is moving the kids stuff out and rearranging our stuff to the best possible use of space. Anyway, nice to meet you all!

Hi and Welcome, Barbara. Glad to have you with us. Smart hubby, finding and suggesting this forum for you :)

One suggestion - go into your post here and change your subject line if you wouldn't mind. There were 3 separate threads, one after the other, with the subject "newbie". Hard to tell you all apart - and I know you're all different. Don't want to miss anything by thinking I just read that one!

Where is your rig now? You say a cg, but in waht state? If you feel comfortable saying, which cg? Yes, we are all nosy :)

Hi from Barbara (newbie)

Sorry, don't know how to go into my previous post, so hope this will do.
We live in upstate NY, Rotterdam which is actually a Schenectady address. We stay at McConchie's Heritage Acres which we really love. It is like every little stress just melts away when we are there and I can only imagine it will be very similar when we do start traveling. We spent about a month in a 19' hybrid travel the Blue Ridge Parkway with three dogs and it was HEAVEN!! Love the weekend thing but it is only to tide us over till the real deal!

Welcome Barbara, always glad to have a new friend. I, too, have a Benji type dog and they are the best. We love pictures and can't wait to see some of those twins.

Welcome Barb, from the west coast. Great group here, you'll love it. Lots of info and lots of teasing, so hope you're up for it!

A couple of our members just traveled through upstate NY. And Soos lives in the Adirondacks - maybe not to far from you? Hopefully she'll see your post soon.

Hi Barbara and welcome to the forum. I also have a Jayco Eagle so I'm sure you will be comfortable in yours. I would love to fulltime but have a husband who wouldn't so I just travel when I can. Just did Texas to Florida with my three dachshunds.
