Herschel here. I have been struggling with PB and uploading some pictures but finally got a few to go through. From visiting VA where the GHL got to meet Li and her Foo Foo. We drove on to an old state park in western VA, Fairystone State Park. It was small and had small sites but we fit. Being a Friday night all the sites were full with mostly families in tents and small trailers or pop ups. We got to walk around a little and liked the trees and shade.
On Saturday we drove on to Hannah Land. The GHL calls this place Charlotte, NC, but I call it Hannah Land because my "big" sister Hannah lives here with her girl Kate.
Hannah is two years older than I am but she lived in Ohio when I first came to live with the GHL. I was 1 and Hannah was 3 and she knew all about being a good dog and living in a house with a family. Hannah was very good to me and taught me a lot about how to be a good dog. We lived together chasing tennis balls and camping and hiking until Hannah was able to come to this place called Charlotte and be with her girl all the time. Hannah loves her girl. She also loves her big blue ball. She chases/herds it all around the yard and keeps in shape with her big ball exercise program. At twelve, it is important to keep up your strength.
On Sunday Hannah's Girl and her husband took us to a small neighborhood bar. Friends came to sit with us in the afternoon and the hoomans got beer and things to eat while they listened to some music. Hannah and I got water.
Here is my friend Hannah.
And here I am getting some attention from Hannah's girl. We left Remi at home because I didn't think he would appreciate the bar scene. There was a lot of sitting and talking and some beer drinking with friends.
On Monday we hooked up the little car again and headed over to the 4 Paws Kingdom Campground in Rutherfordton, NC. It had been two years since the last time we visited but Brigit remembered me. The trees and bushes have grown and the RV sites were even more groomed and level. The GHL said something about having cable whatever that is and I got to watch something called Animal Plant.
If is wasn't so hot there would be plenty to do.....
The GHL got busy right away and did two loads of laundry and seemed to think it was important to bath both Remi and I. The GHL said something about doggy smells..... The campground has both a raised tub for Remi and a large floor tub for me. Both have neat shower heads and are easy to use.....or so I was told.
Here I am walking around the campground and heading back towards our site.
They have cabins and trailers here that can be rented by visitors....They are all set up for people and their 4 footed friends.
It has been hot and muggy here for a while also....
This is a picture of the shelter that the hoomans use for dinners and group hooman activities.
This is the larger dog park where the dogs can get together with their hoomans. They also have a small dog park just for small dogs and a "Private" dog park that you can use if your dog really doesn't handle playing with new friends.
What do you think Remi? All clean after a bath and relaxing in the shade.......
It is good to be a dog at 4 Paws Kindgom.
