Your mother lives on in you...You have so many friends who love you. It's a great loss but the memories you will treasure forever.

Hugs to you and your family, Lori. The long and slow mourning for your mom that occurred over the past several years is over, and it should be a relief to all of the living as much as I am sure it is a relief to the one who has gone. She would love to know she will be in the family graveyard, and that you will all be laughing and reminiscing about the fun times. Bittersweet it will be, as a gap has been left where she once was, the memories are what keep us humans alive as long as those who hold them dear are still alive in our families. We, too, have a family graveyard here on the property, and that is where I have chosen to be lain next to my beloved four-footers, and the ashes of my father, father-in-law, and whoever might be there before me.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

..

Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of
our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are
happy.

First off, so sorry to hear of the passing of you mom. No matter when we expect it to happen, it still jars us somewhat. I loved how you shared your feelings and that you felt so comfortable with all of us to do so.

I hope your trip on Thursday happened without any problems. Enjoy your time with family and friends as you celebrate the life of your Momma. And am glad that she will be buried next to your dad so they can be together again forever.

{{{{{HUGS}}}} to you and Ernie.
