MONDAY MORNING----ACK!!!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

MONDAY MORNING----ACK!!!

Postby Nasoosie » Mon Nov 03, 2008 5:12 am

Well here we go again....another week, another dollar! Although we had the time go back an hour, it's still pitch dark here. However, as I recall, it didn't start getting light here until around 6:45 EDT, so now it will be about 5:45, I am hoping!

It appears it's warmed up a lot from yesterday....sitting at about 32 out there now. My fire needs some serious help as I slept hard and right through the stoking hours!

I hope that all those on the road are careful today, and have good traveling weather. Sure would like to be heading to TX as many of you are.

I've made Hazlenut Creme coffee again, but someone else will have to make the goodies, as I never eat in the mornings! Pull up a chair and help me throw some kindling on that dying fire, eh?? Have a great Monday, you all.

Happy travels!

Good morning. I'm up early so I grabbed a cup of your coffee to get the day started. I have to take Bash to have 3 teeth pulled this morning. She has been putting it off forever but has to have it done before knee replacement because she has a real problem with one. I sure feel sorry for her and she sure isn't looking forward to it. When I get home with her today, I will take Tobie for a long run with the scooter so he won't be so hyper. He absolutely loves to run. We thought he was 12 pounds or so but he is a heftly 17 when she took him to the vet last week. It is all muscle!!! LOL He can hurt you~~ especially when he does a flying leap into your lap!!! Coffee is great!!! Thanks!!

Good Morning Soosie and Fernie! Thanks Soos for getting the coffee on in Zeee's absence,... I'll agree with Soos's "ACK!" Monday mornings are always tough,... so I'd better take a good big cup of coffee,... yummmy!

Don't have to leave the house until about 7 a.m. so I have time left to wander through the boards and blogs,....

catch you later at the campfire!

Gooooood Morning!

ACK is right. Oh this is horrible, I set my alarm to let me sleep 8hrs till 5:45? Woke up to do that morning scurry to the potty. Looked at my watch and about cried it was 4:55. Dag nab it! I honestly couldn't see any sense in going back to bed for what would only be about 45 minutes. If I had I just know I would have been sorry. The alarm would go off and I would have felt miserable and grumpy all day. :(

It's only about 32 out on my back porch but it doesn't feel that cold? To tell the truth it felt like it was maybe 40? For sure it's not all frosty and icy this morning out there. Silly weather.

It's back to work today. eeeek! Altho it shouldn't be as miserable as it has been? With it being the first of the month they shouldn't be shoving the overtime down our throats or in those other places. Told the other girls up there that I was either gonna get a small jar of Vaseline or KY and mount it on my monitor. sheesh But it will be getting harder to get payments because people if they aren't paying bills will be hoarding any extra money they have for Christmas. If they have kids I sure the heck can't say that I blame them. Altho there are parts of the job I like, I'm just not a shark or barracuda and have a really hard time arguing and trying to make them pay. My heart really breaks on some of the stories the people tell. Some you know are blowing smoke up your butt but others you can hear the defeat and despair in their voices. ~sigh~

Got the house pretty clean yesterday. At least enough that I wont die of embarrassment if someone shows up at the door. ;) Took care of recyclables too so that corner of the kitchen looks good. Kelly vacuumed the heck out of the couch and took the covers off the couch and washed them. They still need to go back on. Brushed Shade out and gave her a bath. She pouted the rest of the day and didn't want much to do with me! She stuck pretty much to her 'sissy' Kelly. I guess she thought Kelly would protect her from the big bad Momma! HA Never did go for a bike ride tho. Oh well maybe next weekend when I have both Saturday and Sunday off!!!

Ok, got some blueberry muffins and butter rum muffins too, along with some fresh farmers butter I found. Who wants some? :D I guess I had better go and check my email and comics for the morning. Got to get my comics fix.

Hope everyone has a fantastic day and be sure to stay safe.

Love to all

Echo, I can sympathize with you and with the people you have to call. This is a horrible time to have to make collection calls. I was a collector and credit manager for many years and always hated having to be hard-nosed with the people I could tell were honestly struggling. The job that convinced me to quit was working as a Revenue Agent for the State of Oregon, collecting overpayments from welfare recipients. Talk about kicking people while they were down. Sure, some of them were trying to milk the system. However, a good percentage of those overpayments were caused by worker error and technicalities. And we were supposed to collect money from people who had absolutely none, who were getting food stamps, who were trying to raise their kids with little if no help from others.

I cringe every time I read about some of your experiences, and hope you and Kelly are able to find something more positive very soon. I'd wait tables (and have done so) before I'd ever do collections again.

Okies, I'm in shorts and 3 layers of tops for the hour long walk I took Peaches on this morning. Beautiful morning here in Blanco.

I'm drinking a cup of hot chocolate now, and going to go check out their shower facilities - something I almost never do - but what they hey - have to break my habits sometimes :) Then off on another adventure - and you most likely won't hear from me again till I hit Kerrville and our gtg on Tuesday.

Off to read the rest of the boards -

Have a great day all!

Good morning all. Lori, Ernie, Jill and Tommy and I are all here this morning. None of us are moving two fast. Talking about going to Bandera, the Cowboy Capitol of the World and the 11th street bar. Am trying to make sure they're open first but since its only 9:45am they're not answering their phone yet. Its a little cloudy and a little breezy but is supposed to be in the 70's today. Feel sorry for the ladies in snow and ice. Stay tuned for pictures later today.

Good morning ladies
Surprise, surprise - it's raining here in Oregon - HA !! So far the days have been just beautiful, warm and sunny ... I think that's over now :D Oh well, I expected this and was so happy to have the wonderful weather up to now !
I'm leaving Lincoln City tomorrow, heading to Florence (Oregon, not Italy - HA) It'll be a muddy mess packing up tomorrow - yuck !!! I'll have to dig out some old clothes 'cause I'll be a mess by the time I'm done - Oh well, the CG I'm going to has paved sites so no worries about mud once I get there.
Last night it just poured rain and it was pretty windy and it got dark so early I was SO glad I wasn't out at the lighthouse ! I know I would have been scared to take Molly out in the dark out there - it's so isolated I know it would have been spooky and the weather would have been 10 times worse right on the ocean. Good decision !!!
Today I need to do laundry and clean. I think I may need to run to the grocery store too. Nothing too strenuous - I think I can handle it - HA !!!
Hope everyone enjoys their day !!!

Hey Cedar? Being up there where you are you should have Hannafords up there? They have the BEST butter-rum muffins I have ever had. Oh they are YUMMY. I would grab them before I left out for the week and when I was near a Hannafords in upstate NY I would grab more.

Oh heavens I miss those muffins.
