Good morning everyone from hot hot hot but beautiful Alabama. I just have to go ahead and post and get everyone up and moving! Just got back from the beach with one son and his family, really enjoyed it even tho it was a little hectic with kids. But one thing I have definitely decided is that i don't really enjoy camping by myself, so i don't know how much ll do in the coming months. Lake this weekend. Lazy day planned today, going to check out a bookstore my neighbor told me about!Tomorrow going to the "mini" casino. Everyone have a FUN day whether you choose to travel or be at home! Wendy

Good Morning Wendy and all... thanks for opening the coffee room... glad you were able to enjoy the family while camping... we each have different needs... being alone so long it is ok for me to camp by myself as I can meet others near by if I want to chat or simply be alone... that is such an individual thing... I think the way Liz and Nan are doing their travels this summer is a perfect way... be with someone you enjoy or be alone in your own space...

I dropped my remote control for my tv in the bedroom this morning so got on the floor to go after it... big mistake... my muscles do not work good enough to get back up so... it took me a long while to get to the end of the bed and pull myself up... you would all have laughed at the site... poor Shadow kept coming back in to the bedroom wondering where I was he wanted to go outside.... oh well all is well and I have a nice cup of coffee thanks to Wendy!!

I need to go to the store and also the pet store for dog food... I have a coupon that expires the end of the month...

Good morning Wendy, Kathleen and Everyone !!! I'm surprised no one else is up and at it this morning on here. Busy or traveling, good reasons though. Maggie and I, have been for a really nice walk, also filled the car up, don't let either vehicle get to low on gas, I cry to hard if they need too much I'm hoping the gas prices will come down more, here, as they have other places, as the r.v. needs to be filled and sure would like some cheaper gas for it. No plans to go anywhere, so not a rush, so I'll just keep checking for awhile longer.

I'm waiting for Rick, my r.v. guy to have time to check my frig out. it won't stay on , on propane, which I need badly for CG's I have located around here, that Maggie and I, would love to check out. He is REALLY busy right now, everyone waited until last min. to get their rigs ready for next week end.

No real news from here, cleaning, tossing and finding new owners for stuff here. A very challenging job. I not only have my stuff, but the remainder of my husbands, that kids have not taken. He was a mechanic, and Welder , and builder, so there are items in his stuff, I do not even know what it is or supposed to do. So chances are some man who does know is going to get a really good deal

I hope you all have a really good day. Think we are in for a storm here soon, but I have projects inside to keep me occupied. Before it gets here and I have to shut down, think I will try to catch up on here, surprised to find I was from last Friday out of date on the morning thread, now to see what you all have been up to in other areas, that I haven't read about yet. Fun I hope !!!!!

I'll pop in and say g'morning while it's still morning. Went back to bed this morning as it was raining when I woke up. Peaches agreed (thankfully) and we got up just before 10 the 2nd time and went for a walk. Looks like the rain will be coming back shortly. Good timing. It's one of my days off and I intend to do laundry (yep, exciting, eh?) Meantime, the birds are also enjoying the respite from the rain and I have about 10 on my 2 feeders - mainly house and gold finches at the moment.

Kathleen, after Hurricane Rita I slept on a mattress on the floor for about 6 months until we could get back home and buy furniture. Was that ever a wake up call the first time I tried to get up. I didn't know I was in such bad shape. I don't do much exercise but 5 years later I can still getup off the floor.

Yesterday I got my motorhome inspected and washed. I got some kind of foaming soap from Wal-Mart but I think the RV soap with the wax in it does a better job. I have some wax but don't know that I'm that ambitious to wax it in 95 degree heat. Got my fishing license and some of the food I plan on taking to the lake. Now I need to clean the inside and unload some things so I can load back up.

I don't enjoy camping by myself all that much either. I have a friend that is retired but she thinks traveling in an RV is boring. She wants to fly all over the world. The way things are now I don't want to leave the country. My best friend and her husband like to go on cruises. I went on 2 and that was enough. If I could be gone for a long time I would be following Liz and Nan.

good morning one and all
thanks for the coffee, I'm already on my second cup,
still hot of course, but working indoors is not so bad cause I have the swamp cooler going. Picked up the paint for my shelf unit
and have most of it finished. Two more rails to paint and the two shelves. Soon as its dry I can put my room back together. The
girls are going nuts staying in their kennel all day while I'm working. I was the biggest catastrophe yesterday, never made such a
mess in my life getting paint all over everything as I dropped the brush many times, and even the board, I've always been
one to just paint and never get a drop but for some reason yesterday...... Will be glad to get this project finished.
Time to take the girls out and then check my email and facebook.

You just got that "new to you" RV, haven't even used it yet, and already deciding you don't like to camp alone? While it is wonderful to have traveling companions, if it is a choice between going alone and not going, going is definitely better. Pick your camp grounds, if you like people which you obviously do, don't decide to boondock out in the wild all alone. Find a place with things going on. Once you get to a campground, you will find that other campers are friendly and you will be making new friends there in no time. Just get out and walk around. Smile, say hello, be friendly to the dog, etc. And then there are the Women RV GTGs, maybe there are other groups near you that you can go camping with soon. We'll be cheering you on.

No Colleen, had the MH since before my husband passed away! Uses it by myself a few times, mostly leave it parked at a lake I go to. Wendy

So sorry for the mistake. Obviously I wasn't paying close enough attention and I took readytogo for redetogo. Sounds like like you are using the RV and maybe you will find someone that might want to travel with you like Liz and Nan are doing.
