There is never a good time to say good bye. With Hospice there I hope that you had some time to just be there with him and that he was comfortable. I hope the journey of the next days and weeks brings some peace to your heart.

Will keep your whole family in my prayers, Carolyn. It is never easy when our parents are gone from us suddenly, even when we are expecting it. I wish him Godspeed to his place of rest. I wish for you the knowledge, patience and understanding that it was His will for this to happen at this very time. Bless you girl.

Awww Carolyn, I am so sorry ((((HUGS))))). You have been through a lot these past few months. May the good Lord be with you and your family in these trying times. I am glad to hear though that your house was spared. At least that is one bright spot in all this. I am sure your father is at peace now and in a much better place.

Carolyn, it sounds like he was ready. I don't know if we are ever ready for our parents to leave us, though. Love and hugs to you and you realize, if there's anything else we can do - please do not hesitate to ask.

Carolyn, I am so sorry to hear about your dad. Maybe, once he realized your house was spared and OK, he felt it was time to leave, knowing you would be all right. Thinking of you and your family at this sad time. Never easy to lose a parent. My mom passed 4 years ago tomorrow. Still miss her a lot! Hugs to you!

I'm so sorry for your loss...everyone has said what I would have...Losing parents is so very hard... I was in England coming back from Germany when my Dad passed...It was the most horrible trip getting back to Chicago only to bury him...
Do the best you can...with all you've been through...I just wish God to bestow you with lots of love, strength & wisdom to face the days ahead....
