Good morning! I'm planning to head from Alamosa to Colorado Springs this morning and have seen a high wind advisory for the area. Wheeee. I hate driving when it gets that windy. By the time I get to my destination, I'm exhausted.

Coffee, protein shake, and a Power Bar for breakfast. Not all that exciting, but you're welcome to share.

driving in the wind is definitely no fun.
Working today so no plans here. Although son ask for a ride over to his dads house and I told him I could drop him off before I
go to work but he'd need to ride the bus home or find a ride. Not sure yet what he's going to do, him and his sister are suppose
to be treating their dad to buffet lunch at some place called Golden Corral. Its got him in the dumps for some reason, he hasn't
gotten his paycheck yet so he's broke. I told him not to worry, I'd give him some of my tip money to help pay for his dads lunch.
Its the least I can do as I don't like to see him get in the dumps. When he has money, he's always quite generous.
My morning is planned out for relaxing until its time to go.
Coffee is ready and a little toast will sit in my tummy quite nicely. Enjoy your day and be safe.

Good Sunday Morning to everyone... thanks for opening up the coffee room Amy... we have rain here in Normal... two more days of med then finished... this stuff makes me so sick for about 2 hours after I take it that I am worth nothing...
I will be getting things ready to head for Michigan the first part of July... that will be great... not sure how many of my friends I will be visiting but all of my family will put up with me for a while... I will take my MH so can have my own bed to sleep on...
Coffee is vanilla bean and very good...

It's a rainy Sunday for me. It's late June ... and I STILL don't have my sprinkler system turned on. What a year.

It's sad to have a Father's Day with no father with whom to celebrate.

Just finished my first "NOOK" book ... "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett. MUCH recommended (and also be someone here a while back). Strong female characters ... great historic plotline. And "mean girls."

Looks to be a lazy day. ;~)

We have our usual June gloom here on the left coast, but the sun will be out before long and it'll warm up nicely. Have to run to the store to do the shopping for the trip to Tucson and then give Hope and Chewy a bath. I'd rather wash that big old rv than give Chewy her weekly bath. I have to wet her down, put the shampoo on her and then turn her loose for 20 min. Then try and catch her to rinse her. Need I say she hates her bath? Unfortunately she has to have it to help with her allergies. Brushing her out is like trying to brush a 2 yr. olds hair....ow ow no stop that hurts stop ow ow....

A little glitch in the trip, refrigerator wouldn't come on. I checked everything I could and came to the conclusion it's a board, so Hope goes in to the hospital Monday AM. They're gonna try and get it done on Mon, but if not it'll be Tues which means we won't get out of here until Wed. I checked with the moms and they're both ok with that, but there was a little disappointment sighing from the Grand Girls. It was such a frustrating day yesterday, but I thought about it and decided that there was some reason that I shouldn't leave on Tues so I'm just going with the flow figuring Jack has his reasons for me leaving late. So I'm good.

Amy, I hear ya about the wind. I was following my sis and her DH in SD one time and the wind was so bad I kept dropping back. They have a 40ft 5'er towed by an F450 dually. Sis got on the radio and asked me if I was lollygagging or sightseeing and I said the wind was horrendous! I heard BIL say what wind? I told him look at the side of the road, the bushes were laying flat on the ground! He said he didn't feel it in their rig, so I told him come drive mine for a while!! I hate wind!!! Just wears me out.

Rainy day here in Nashville today. Just took my last dose of the meds for my bronchitis. Miracle drugs. I am breathing so much better. The bruising on my arm from the blown IV is very colorful today but on its way out. Sausage biscuits for breakfast - kills the taste of the meds. Will spend the day working with the goddess starting to pack up things for the PA adventure leaving out this Friday. Have made some park reservations along the way but left some nights open for serendipity. Take care out there on the roads ladies.

I spend so much time just watching the birds here. There are lots of cardinals in the park, and one couple had decided to hang out by me most of the time. And I have a pair or woodpeckers that visit every day. Add to that the myriad of other visitors and I just love watching. Of course, the chipmunks and squirrels fight over the feeder also. Well, the chipmunks make do with whatever the birds drop. As you know, squirrels like to think the feeders are put there for them. I went out a couple weeks ago and bought a sock feeder for the song birds. Lo and behold, within minutes I had some beautiful yellow birds at that feeder. However, I haven't figured a good place to put it. The squirrels caused the string it was hanging by to break. I have fixed that, refilled it, but in just over a day the birds got a little food, the squirrels managed to empty it again. I'm going to have to see if I can find another place to put that. What surprises me are when the grackles come to the feeder. But they do.

Sharon, are you going to see Bob while in Tucson? Does he know you'll be there? I think he's getting hitch itch and some company - even for a little bit - would be good for him.

Swept off my roof this morning. It's dirty up there. That's what comes of being under all the trees for springtime. Oh well. Could be much worse.

Work later this afternoon.

When we lived in Illinois, we had to use something like this to keep those dang squirrels out. Maybe you could rig up a big metal funnel (from a farm supply store? Maybe auto parts?) to your sock feeder?

Good idea Mitch. I think I'm going to get a 2nd shephards hook first - as the sock feeder is hanging from a tree branch, and I think I'd be better off with another hook. Should probably consider a double hook, but will look at them. I like your idea tho. In Alabama I made my own weird contraption which worked with the squirrels. Guess maybe it's time to do it again. Dang sock is so lightweight, they pull it up and over the branch. Sneaky little guys. Your funnel idea would put a stop to that.

I told him he could come out to our cg for lunch or dinner, but he said that was to far (30 miles) so guess we're gonna try and have lunch at the Desert Museum. He'll be sorry...at least at my cg the girls could go play in the pool or playground and let the adults talk....hehehe. He kept trying to get me to change my cg to the one next to him. Wasn't gonna happen, this one is better suited for kids, and that's the reason for this trip...so the girls can have fun with g'ma.
