Thanks for the orange sweet rolls Lori. Not being a coffee drinker, I will pass on the coffee though.
See you are having the hot humid weather that just left us. Not my favorite weather. Today's high is predicted to be around 63 and low in the 40's. Fine by me.
I've been under the weather per say these past few days. One heck of a cold or whatever. All congested with mucus like you wouldn't believe. My work partner went through this last week and was off work for three days. So far this week, I have been off for two. Plan to go back tomorrow though. I was trying to think of what I cold take to help clear this junk up and remember about my sinus rinse stuff. Hadn't been on it, since last year. Got some more and started treatment twice a day. Boy did that help. Been going through Kleenex like water. Feeling much better now, except for the cough that I will have for awhile. Always cough for about a week after I have a cold.
Was laughing when I looked at my kitchen this morning. I've just been nibbling on this and that the past couple of days, and just putting my dish on the sink. Right now it looks like a scene from a bachelor pad movie where all the dishes in the cupboard are on the the sink
Time to get busy washing. Think I will take a nice warm bath too. Been in my jammies for what seems like forever. Haven't even been on the puter here either, so am catching up this morning.
I did however take the girls for a ride on Tuesday for a bit. Snooped out on of the State Parks about 10 miles from me and then drove down to the town of Grayling to Lake Margarethe. A nice lake just out side the the town. On my way out, I had to pull over for a couple of DNR fire trucks and a tanker truck heading out of town. Figured they must have a grass or wildfire started. Once we got out to the lake, I was able to find a shady spot on the boat launch dock and let the girls snoop around for awhile. Tessa of course was wading in and out of the lake at her leisure. While I was sitting there I saw a plume of smoke start up above the trees about a mile away. It kept getting bigger and bigger and I knew that a wildfire had started and was spreading. Fortunately it was heading northeast, away from where I was. Watched it for about an hour and then decided it was time to head for home as girls were getting hot (87 degrees) and so was I. When I got back to the main road, the fire trucks, police cars and conservation officers were coming in from all directions. Found out that the fire burned 800 acres, but fortunately no homes were lost. A few outbuildings though. I was very near summer cottages and homes along a river back there, but the firefighters doused them with foam and water to keep them from burning. Had it been any windier than what it was, it woould have been much worse. They are saying it started by lightening, but funny, cause there weren't any storms around on Tuesday. May be from a strike a bit ago that just sat and smoldered. Was hoping we would have had some rain yesterday, but it all passed over. There is so much pollen around, we need it to wash it away.
Hope you all have a great day whatever you are doing.
