Hi Dawn (from an ex-Signal Hill resident). I bought in November a 30' C Class and had never driven anything bigger than a 3/4 ton truck. So having 30 feet is pretty awesome and scary. But I have slowly gotten used to it; but that has come only after I banged it up the day I drove it off the lot! OMG!
But luckily I only scrapped up a fender over the dual wheels in the back. I've been much, much more careful, going very slowly around corners and checking, checking and checking the mirrors. I wish you a great "rental" road trip. I am currently in Central VA, and my last trip was up the I-95 to just south of the DC area. Had a blast and loved driving on the freeway--as Beth said, it's great to be up and above the average car and see way far ahead and pretty well on either side. The trade off is that you can't see directly behind you. Had to get used to the idea that those behind me were on their own!!!
Please let us inagural trip goes; and come back here often for advice, help, and lots of confidence building thoughts!!
