HELLO TO EVERYONE!

Come on in and say hello.

HELLO TO EVERYONE!

Postby Nasoosie » Wed Oct 29, 2008 12:35 pm

HI to many old friends and the many new ones I will meet on this forum! It's wonderful to finally find those of you whom I have missed recently on ORS! I hope people can instruct me as to how to make my posts look the way I want them to look. This will be my first attempt!

I live alone here in the boonies of the Adirondacks with my faithful camping dog, Molly. We camp in the summers (when I don't have to work at the local school) in my 20 foot Hornet Hideout travel trailer, hauled by my bright red Ford 150 pickup truck. I will try to post a picture in this message, and maybe somebody can tell me how to add a pic to my signature?

We are having our first snowstorm of the season today, and our school closed due to the bad road conditions and power outages. Here is what my porch looked liked earlier this morning----much more snow has fallen since I took this!

Happy to be aboard, and plan to join you all daily, one way or another. I need to see how this message will look now, before I add anything more!

Hi Soos! Glad to see you here- and you did good with that first post- figured out how to use colors, added a pic your own way :) - This site really is user friendly as you get used to it. There are a few things that are somewhat different - but most is really easy to do.

You can add a picture to a signature, or to the side (like mine is) from in your User Control Panel. There are some instructions in a thread in the maintenance/tech room - but please give a holler there if you have any problems and one of us will help you do it.

As you said, you do know some here - and you'll make lots more new friends, also. Great group of women here and you're a great addition.

All of you who don't know Soos - she has hosted a gtg in her backyard for the past 3 years for a singles group some of us belong to. What a backdrop! I was able to attend 2 years and am so glad to have been able to do so.

Soos, Cedar said the snow missed her - obviously it didn't miss you. Looks like an early winter there -

Hi there Soosie!

I'm so glad you got here. I think you will like this group, and this site is very user friendly. Welcome to you and Molly!

I've had the pleasure of attending Soosie's gtg for two years,... missed this past July because of other camping trips. Soos and Molly are the perfect pair! What a great time we had.

I'm about 45 miles east of Soos,... across the mountains and in the valley, we're often called the Adirondack "bookends!"

Welcome aboard, my friend!

Welcome Soos! So nice to have you aboard. I love your winter picture...as long as you keep that snow up your way. :) I used to live in Michigan, but didn't have any winter hobbies except to hibernate. Once I divorced and had to shovel my own snow I said "I'm outta here". It was a real pain to go outside in the freezing morning and shovel the driveway just to get the car out to go to work! I like Louisiana much better in the wintertime!

Another furbaby named Molly! I have a Molly beagle and Trudy has a Molly too. We'll have to do a Molly GTG some day. :) Hey, it's great that you organize and sponsor a singles GTG. You sound like a friendly, fun gal. I will look forward to many more of your postings.

Welcome!!! Soos, you've certainly landed in the right place, at least I think
so, this is a great place and lots of great gals. But I do have to admit, I'm
sittin in 80 sumpin degree sunshine and not a snowflake in sight, I left all
that back in Colorado 8 years ago  although the snow is beautiful,
looking out my window, it tends to make me like a bear and want to
hibernate. I'll do my fair share of whining in the summer though when its
117 degree's for 3 months, ok, maybe an exageration but it does feel like
3 months. Ok, I'll stop chattering like a chipmunk now and just welcome :P

Hey Soos

So glad you have "crossed over" also....... I have been a wee bit absent at ORS as I have been soooooo busy this summer here in Oregon.

This is a great forum and lots of interesting reading for sure. Beth just never ceases to amaze me on her computer skills....mine are sadly lacking. As you can see I have no pics posted yet ha ha you have been here one flippin day and already have one posted...Im jealous. I just need to find some time to get it together

Glad you made it here for sure

Another morning! We ended up with over 16 inches of snow yesterday!! I must say I am NOT looking forward to having to dig out my wood piles and lug in wet wood to stay warm this winter, BUT, it sure is cheaper than spending my kerosene for my Monitor heater!

Thank you all for the welcome....glad to hear from some of you that I know, and others I hope to meet down the road some day. I will try to post a couple more pictures in my other post area on the general topic board before I leave for work (school) this morning.

Glad to be aboard!

Welcome to our forum, Soos. I look forward to meeting you at some future gtg. I travel north to NH every summer and got to meet Cedar this year. Carinagal and I are in Mississppi today, on our way to the TX gtg to meet some new and some familiar forum friends.

Hi Liz! Hope when you head for NH next summer you can stop by here and we can sit around a fire and sing and do all the neat things one does around campfires on a great summer night!
