Bummer. The house sold and closed, so the hard part is done. Maybe expand the radius that you were looking and see what else is out there? Things will turn around. Linda

Karen, the most important part went through. Your house SOLD. You'll be fine in the rv while you have time to look more - and maybe find an even better place - or this one if they can get a purchase made. Meantime - big hugs, gf.

I'm "Little Mary Sunshine" for others (not so good for myself). :D  :D

Look at it this way: What if the financing for the person who bought your house had fallen through? As it is, I agree with everyone who says there's a reason that the universe took this particular opportunity away...something better will come along. And the "Wheely House" will keep a roof over the ole noggin til the better opp comes through! :D :) :D

I can imagine how disappointing that is, when you were already "moved in" in your mind. That one may come back on the market in a month or two, otherwise new places go up for sale every day, so hopefully you will find something you will fall in love with. At least you will be able to take your time and find the right place (since you have a roof over your head), rather than take the first thing that comes along.

Yup! What all the others said. You know I just moved the end of Sept. last year. Three days before the closing of my old house AND the scheduled movers, the mobilehome I wanted so badly didn't pass the inspection! Three days! I had 3 days to find another place! There must be a word beyond stress! Whatever it is I had it! Called my realtor to take me around my target area NOW! First place I saw I fell in love! AND, it was empty. Wasn't exactly what I had wanted, but I could make it work. I looked at a couple of others he had on the list that day and then put in the offer right away. Seller accepted, had dual closings, movers came as scheduled and I'm still catching my breath.

Since then, I discovered that there were nosy neighbors on both sides of the original house I chose. They pick and complain about every little thing their neighbors do. So, you see, sometimes a setback is for the best afterall.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I whole heartedly agree with what's been said. At least you have your house sold. Here in MI, we are lucky if we can even sell our homes without worrying about buying another. The is a reason for what happened and in time you will find out what it is. In the meantime, you have the home on wheels, so enjoy it. IN fact, if you have time, bank the money from your house and travel a bit, enjoy life etc., and keep an eye out while you are out and about.

Sharon, I'll be there June 1st - happy hour that night!!

All of you are right - this may turn out to be for the best. There MIGHT be an empty lot coming up in a few months. There is an old bank owned mobile on a really nice lot that's been empty for about a year and a half. The manager at the mobile home park is going to talk to the owners about getting that trailer removed (its really trashed so can't be sold). I then went and looked at BRAND NEW 2 bdr/2ba that I loved. Will go Tues and make sure I can get financing. And the really wonderful thing is that the new mobile doesn't have ANY dark brown paneling that I would have to paint!! I am looking forward to getting back to the KOA and a "normal" life. Will save my money for the next few months for a possible carport and front deck.

Things are already turning out better than your brain plans, Karen!

At least you know about the KOA and your own, comfy home on wheels while your money from your sale adds a bit of revenue for future plans.

Happy camping in the meantime!!
