Hump day?

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Hump day?

Postby Echo » Wed Oct 29, 2008 5:26 am

Goooooood Morning to all the sistahs!

It's Wednesday and it's suppose to be hump day. Hump Day??? Only if ya get a day off sometime in the week. Still no word on exactly what is gonna happen for Friday which is suppose to be our day off. Rumors are flying at work. With it being the last day of the month that is usually the last big push day for payments for the month. And usually we have it off and night shift is suppose to work it. But I guess they want everyone to be there and on the phones? Have no idea where they actually would sit everyone if everyone all showed up to work. There simply isn't enough seats and computers for all the employees. Not day shift and night shift combined. Gads we fight for seats most of the time after lunch anyway because there are NO assigned seats. But the rumors say that we will either have to work a mandatory 4hrs or that we will end up having to work a full 8hrs. HA Kelly stayed home yesterday as she was sick, got a flu shot last week and I think that's what did it. She's got a monster chest cold now. But without her I stayed last eve until 7:30pm. I really don't mind doing overtime. But I do hate it when it's crammed at ya both ends and no Vaseline is used. Told a couple of the gals up there that I was either gonna get a small far of Vaseline or a tube of KY and stick it on top of my monitor.  Wouldn't that just help me out.

Cold as all get out here this morning. 27 out there, brrrrrrrr, Yahoo says 30. They were calling for a couple of inches of snow for the higher elevations last eve. Have no idea yet if they got it? I honestly can't believe it's like this here, this early in the season. Gonna be an interesting winter I think. LOL For all that the south doesn't get hammered with snow I'm glad that I have the Blazer and 4 wheel drive. Cause when they do get the snow here they don't know what the heck to do with it. That's how you can pick the transplants out. Cause they are about the only ones driving when it snows.

Well come on ya'll get them peepers open and shake a leg. Coffees hot and so are the biscuits. Got eggs ready to fry, some bacon and some ham. Don't get any better than that!!!!

Opps!! I forgot!

Hope everyone has a great day and stays safe.

Love to all

I'm staggering in for coffee! Got hooked on a tv show and stayed up until 11 p.m... now will have to pay for that by being a zombie this a.m.

Northern NY is getting a dump of snow,... schools approx 40 miles northwest from here are closed. Here in the Champlain Valley (NY/VT border) we have only wind and a dusting of snow. Lucky this time!

I'm running late, so I had better get to the kitchen and pack lunch get b'fast, etc. Have a great day everyone,... I'll catch you later at the campfire! :D

I'm up but that is about all. I'm grabbing a cup of your coffee. Mine isn't even on yet!! As a matter of fact, I haven't even turned on a light yet. I got a security light out back that gives me enough light to shuffle from the bed to the bathroom to the recliner!! Here I sit!!!! LOL

Not quite so cold here this morning, but I haven't been outside yet, either. Margie and I drove into Joplin and Carthage, Missouri yesterday and had a great time. So, maybe I'll do the Photobucket thing with some pictures and get them posted here this morning. Might even clean out the fridge later on. We're supposed to FINALLY begin work at Amazon this Sunday, so that will actually be a relief, although I'm sure I could find places to go around here for the next few months. :D

Good Wednesday Morning from Texas! YAY, I made it!!! While on road I did follow posts on my cell phone. The last two weeks in CA where a blur for me. Road trip out here via Zion and Bryce was fantastic, I'll post some pics soon. And am almost all unpacked and organized here again. My DD is sick with flu so I was helping out there for first two days. It's a bit chilly here, but NOTHING like the low temps some of you gals are having! Looking forward to the Kerrvelle GTG. Have a fun day!

Hmph. gumph. pllltttthhhh. I stayed up until 2:30 a.m. ... did some late-night data entry for the campaign on phone calling for the day. Today we have a rally of The Obama Mama's downtown ... and they might also bring the local Obama Llama (yes, there is one!).

I'm really loving the people involved here. Upbeat, happy. Probably would feel differently if we were trailing ... but there is a ton of excitement.

I'm probably getting my RV back today (YAY!). The folks I'm staying with have been SO kind. I'm making chicken posole and quesadillas for the family tonight. It's such a delicious recipe ... I'll post it in the recipe area.

Have a good day, ladies!

Morning all - is my last day of work this week. Was possible I would be covering for a couple who had to rush off when one of their grandbabies died (was a blessing, but still very hard) but they are coming back tomorrow night, so I'm off now till after our gtg. Have a few places to go first - can't wait to see all those coming! Anybody else who wants to join us - come on down :)

Weather was quite chilly overnight, but it's warming up here now - is 72 now and climbing - sun out and beautiful - sunrise was really pretty today - about the only good thing I can see about being up and working in the dark. And it'll still be dark after the time change - Yeppers - remember this weekend is our time change - gain an hour Saturday night - so remember to set your clocks back.

Have a great day, all.
