I am so sorry to hear about your husband's heart attack. You and your family have been through quite a bit in the last couple of months. Stay strong and please keep us updated.

Give The Driver our best regards. He's sure to do just fine. George had quad bypass on Monday, did a flight of stairs at the hospital on Friday and home immediately thereafter. Not a problem since. (okay, so maybe it wasn't IMMEDIATELY after the stairs - you know how long checking out of a hospital takes...) (and of course, he's had problems since, but not heart related ones...)

Glad to hear the 'Driver' is doing well at this point; yep it will be a long week, but good to know waiting will allow healing and a stronger start for after the surgery. Take care of yourself too! Sending (((((big hugs)))))!

I'll be thinking of both you and the driver, and hoping for that new 20-year-old heart conditioning he will have following surgery!

It must be scary with that hospital so far away, but infinitely better at home with familiar docs and facilities. Have fun as the new 'temporaty driver!'

Carol, more hugs coming your way. Don't get yourself sick while you're worrying about Bill. So, like posted earlier, breath. Nice deep breaths. I know you can't relax, but please, try not to let yourself get so tense you make yourself sick. And, I know, easy for me to say. Much harder for you to do.

Love to you both.

Finally I think everything is set. Has been crazy back and forths - We met new doctor - Dr Hart no less yesterday. The doc that was seeing Bill in Columbus (25 mi east) left his practice as of today! So we are now going to a doc in Bloomington (25 miles west) Really like him. Surgery is scheduled for Thursday June 2 in Bloomington - a bigger hospital associated Indiana University. Until then Driver remains home. He looks and is feeling pretty good. The meds he is taking make him tired though. But he can drive, go to market, walk up and down stairs - but slowly. Doc says he is excellent patient for bypass and should do fine afterward. Bill doesn't have any other medical problems - never had high blood pressure or anything. So now its just waiting . Yesterday we were busy so today will probably just relax and then tomorrow is the biggest soccer game of the year. And Sunday the races - so couch potato time.
We've had miserable weather around here - 4 tornados touched down in the areas around us - south west and northeast. Did some damage - lots of trees - great big ones in Bloomington. But the worst of the weather seems to go around the hills we are in. Thank goodness. We were without power for 12 hours, but luckily it was mostly nightime. This morning it is 48 degrees - turned furnace on for a while. By Sunday it is supposed to by 90 degrees!

All good news Carol! Enjoy your quiet week-end at home. Next week will be a busy one. Can you stay in town rather than driving back and forth? My best to the Driver. :)

That's great news, Carol. Glad you found a good "Hart" doctor. Am not surprised that The Driver is in good physical condition considering all the travel and work he does around the house and that certainly bodes well for his recovery. Thanks for the update. carold

We are fearfully and wonderfully made... my husband had a 5 way bi pass back in the early 80s... he did fine after that... walked many miles... side line he loved to show off his scar!!
Take care and enjoy the weekend... next week will be long but at the end things will be very good...

Wishing the Driver well with the surgery and quick recovery. Heart bypass surgery is very common these days and recovery is fairly quick on a healthy patient so he should be good to go shortly! You need to relax, say your prayers and leave the rest up to the Big Guy upstairs! And stay away from those twisters!

Can you drive the RV yourself? Good thing to know, in case something happens while you are traveling.

Thanks for updating us, Carol. Also thought about you when I saw Bloomington was getting twister action. Knew that was fairly near you guys. Glad it went around.
Enjoy the weekend together, get rested up. Please let us know asap how The Driver is doing post surgery. Continued prayers.

Love the heart doctor's name being Hart. Must be a good omen, don't you think? Hugs to you both - looking forward to hearing the surgeries all over and everything went perfectly.
