Can't add much to what the others have said. So glad he had the burping pain symptoms, because without them, you might not have gone to the hospital when you did. Know that you both will be in my prayers. For this, and for the tough month of memories too.

The car sounds like fun. You'll have to explain what the plate means. Hooray for #18.

You are both on my prayer list. Please keep us updated on Bill's surgery and recovery. Prayers also being said for all the medical staff.
Remember, Bill is right where he should be and being taken care of, so just take your time with the driving. Hear?
Hugs!

Just got home from visiting The Driver - Strange news - he is doing fine overall. Heart attack was mild - lots of blockage in arteries - one completely blocked - it caused the problem. rest a lot blocked. 70 - 80% They will be sending him home - thats right HOME probably tomorrow if not then the next day as soon as they get his meds working right. Then he will go back in right after Memorial Day for 4-bypass surgery. I will be freaking out all week! But they - the docs - say it will be fine - the blocked artery has already done it damage and the others will be fine with meds - for awhile - easy for them to say!!!!!! Heart is pumping strong so no problem there. The reason is - right after a heart attack the muscle itself is thinner and weaker, but with a little time it heals itself a little and it will be safer to operate then.
I told them we have a three story house - they say its not problem as long as he doesn't try to run up all the stairs at once. No chopping wood or running vacuum.
Thank all of you for your support, hugs and prayers - most of the time I'm okay but every once in a while - get pretty upset. Reading your responsed sure helps.
Will keep everyone posted.

Dear Carol,

Here's wishing Bill--and you--a good surgery and a better recovery. I'm sure you're eally worried as i know I would be...but it sounds like this is a good fix and Bill will be right as rain soon. Hugs and positive thought are coming you way from Central VA. I am assuming you are no longer in Mexico? All the best my friend...

Of all the doctors I worked for the smartest, and my favorite, always told his patients that a bypass turns your senior citizens heart back into the heart of a 20 year old.
He said that even with the damage the actual heart attack causes the new clear perfect veins from the bypass make it so new that it basically cancels out the damage. So, along with careful diet, mild excercise (when ready) and following doctors orders he will be in terrific shape...really.

Hang in there, Carol. Hopefully the week will be blissfully uneventful and Memorial Day will be here before you know it. If the Driver behaves himself this week then he'll be right as rain in no time flat.

My prayers will be with BOTH of you this week. Remember to breathe. ;)
