And I thought ferrets were bad with stealing stuff!

Pretty funny, although I'd be keeping him inside at night to avoid cranky neighbors.

That is a lot of work.....I am impressed. Do the neighbors know to come tour frequently to pick up their belongings that are not marked. :D

Isn't that weird? Wonder what is going on inside his little kitty brain to make him take home "things" instead of the common mouse or bird. People pay $150 for shoes and even well-made bikinis are $100 or more...wouldn't want it drug over the concrete and through the dirt to kitties lair.

We had a dog burglar. Any shoes, gloves or anything else left out came to our house. Neighbors knew that they would find their articles at our house. We put them on a picnic bench in full site. She even hid one of my gloves right soon after we moved in. I found it just before I moved 25 years later.

We had a dog that was half Lab and half Grayhound. He would go a long way and bring everything back he could carry, hip boots, waders, door mats, baby dolls. Since we only have 2 neighbors I would have to return things regularly. Posse cat use to bring in poor lizards without tails, bugs and a couple of mice. The mice were always fun because they were alive. The outside cats hang on the porch now so she is afraid to go out. Now her friend Annie carries 2 catnip toys around like they are her kittens. Good thing she was never a mother because she leaves them everywhere. I found one in the trash basket the other day.

I saw a story the other day on Animal Planet about a dog who traveled 6 miles to a pet store, went right in, found a large bone, and left with it, getting back home before his owners knew he was gone. The story hit the news of course, of the shoplifting dog along with a video from the security camera. The owners were shocked to see their dog (a very distinctive husky) on the video! They tested him by bringing him to that store and then followed him in and watched as he went right down the same isle and grabbed the same type of bone and walked right back out! The owners had never been to that store before so are not sure how he knew to go there in the first place, especially since there is a pet store a block from their house that they frequent. Maybe the dog figured no one would recognize him at this one!

Radar's nickname is Templeton after the rat in Charlotte's Web. She's always taking things and hiding them under the bed. I looked for a set of keys for two weeks, never thinking that she'd take keys and hide them. After I had new set of keys made I found them under the bed, along with a dog collar that didn't come from our house and some washclothes and numerous items of clothing and a couple Christmas ornaments. She gets a little cranky when you take her stash.
