A PERFECT SUNDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

A PERFECT SUNDAY

GOOD MORNING CAROL AND ALL!

I am reading about our weather back home in my part of the Adirondacks....rain, rain, and more rain every day this upcoming week, with flood warnings posted again. That can get very depressing, for sure, although I did love to use the rain for an excuse to stay inside and loll when I was still working! I am just hoping that the blueberries and other flowering fruits, like cherries and service berries and mountain ash, are not in bloom yet as their blossoms could get washed away. Many are a staple diet for the wildlife and much needed. Also, all that rain will keep the bees from fertilizing them. I am really getting anxious to get back there and see what's happened over the winter and greet the new growing things. I really miss the smell of that balsamy mountain air!

On the positive side, all that rain will replenish the ground water including the water in my well!

Those pictures of the levee openings yesterday broke my heart. I just can't imagine watching your entire community get obliterated like that. I tried to connect with Carolyn on Facebook, but she was occupied and I never reached her on the chat thing. I will try again today.

We had a really good, soaking rain here yesterday and some more lighter stuff overnight, so things are already springing back into life in this neighborhood. I believe my son's property also got some rain, I hope. Today is breezy, balmy, and sunny-----perfect, actually. Perhaps this will be the day I get my driveway paint so I can apply it during the next dry spell. Or not! (Options are so nice!)

Hope you all are having a decent day wherever you may be and whatever your plans. Coffee is hot, so stop by and sit a spell!

Happy travels!

Good Morning... I too saw the message on facebook from Carolyn... how sad that she had to leave and the prospect of returning looms in the distant future and when she does by all reports things will be destroyed by water and mold... so so so sad... makes my heart break for her and the many others in the path of these waters...
it is a cool Sunday with rain here and an expected high of 49... looks like it will clear out by tomorrow... then be back mid week... what a mix of weather we seem to be having...
I will stay put today as I would not want to go out with my swollen ears... look like some kind of a cartoon character!!
May there be some sunshine in your day...

Good morning ladies!

It's an overcast, coolish morning on the eastern shore of MD. Although we're in the mid 60's, because of being so damp, it feels cooler than that. No plans for today as it's too wet to do any yardwork.

My parents really appreciated the dinner I fixed for them yesterday evening. They have plenty of leftovers to get them through the week.

My sister that is in rehab seems to be doing well. I talked to her yesterday and she sounded very upbeat and will work hard there with hopes of coming home soon. I am looking forward to helping her around the house once she's home.

Have a good day everyone. Carolyn, my heart breaks for you.

G'morning!

Feeling better today. My arm (injection sight) is not so sore and I think the Advil and nap yesterday did the trick. Also allergy season is upon us here in the PNW. We sure waited long enough!

I agree with you, Soos, on the rain knocking off the blooms etc. While walking the dog yesterday I noticed that the fruit trees in the neighborhood were finally blooming, but alas, I didn't see any bees buzzing around. Today it's raining again, but suppose to be near 70 by Wed. Tuesday is my cardiologist appt, then I'm going to get Little Missy out of storage, dust her off, and head out for a few days. Probably not go far for the first "shakedown" trip. Paradise Point SP is always my favorite, so will settle in there.

Nothing else of any great interest happening. Kathleen, I hope you get some relief for your ears soon.
Carolyn, keeping you prayed up also.
Safe travels to all who are on the roads today.

Irmi,
How fortunate your family is to have such a caring daughter/sister. Being a caregiver is no small task and you are an angel to undertake it with such cheerfulness.

Yes, Irmi---you should be very proud, and your family is so lucky to have a daughter like you. You have done so much good for them lately, and probably always have. Many kids would not be so attentive and caring. Big pats on the back from us all.
