Fabulous Friday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Fabulous Friday!

Postby khenrie » Fri May 06, 2011 8:31 am

Good morning!

Waking up refreshed and thrilled to be on the road. Spent the night boondocking 20 miles from home in an emergency truck parking lot off of I-70 (Dotesero, CO.)

Slept peacefully, got coffee and hubby is hitching up the toad and we'll be off within the hour.

Have a great day all!

Morning all! Coffee smells good, but I'll pass. Already had some oatmeal and chai.

Must be get on the road day for the ladies. Been loading up Seeker and waiting now for the Goddess to arrive. Will go down the road a couple of miles to gas up (ouch ouch) then hook up the toad for the first trial run with my new blue ox system. Spending a long weekend with the grandkids. Aiden will camp with us while Addy is getting ready for her big dance recital. Lots of boy fun this weekend. Stay safe everyone and hope you have lots of sunshine.

Good morning Kimberly, Horizon & all who follow,

Kimberly & Horizon, enjoy your outings!

The sun is shining in MD today and temperatures will top off in the mid 70's. My main objective this weekend is to get the rest of the ground turned over for our garden and get our plants in the ground. We have a lot of work to do but I think if the weather cooperates, we'll get it done.

For those on the road, be careful and everyone else, be safe & enjoy your day!

GOOD MORNING ALL!

I am late this morning as I needed to sleep in, I guess. I didn't even hear the trash people when they picked up my trash a bit before 7:00 am. (usual time, anyway) It's cool, and was a beautiful night to sleep on my new swing/bed thing I set up on my screen porch yesterday, and sunny, with a 40% prediction of rain showers later on today. I have my fingers crossed for that much-needed rain. I'm even delaying my watering chores until I see if it will actually materialize.

How exciting to see that the campers are beginning to move, the drivers are trying new things like hauling cars, and that all seems to be going smoothly! I will keep my fingers crossed for good weather now, for a change, as many take to the roads for new experiences. Keep in touch as best you can, as we all love to share!

I didn't get my driveway paint as Lowes didn't have a listing of the "acceptible" colors for driveways in my homeowners' area. I brought some color sample sheets home with me, and will check in with the club president today. I would like to just renew the red that the driveway and front walk has always been. If not, I will tell them to go stuff it and I'll leave it as it is and save some money!

I cannot believe how fast those green plants I put in are growing! Which reminds me, I need to stick in the remaining plants around the palm trees before the rains. I do wish they had blossoms, but these are just green and are supposed to multiply like crazy. It will be good to have some green along that side of the house. I should have followed Cedar's advice and put down the weed blocking paper-like stuff first, but I couldn't afford the huge roll it came in. So, weeds will prevail, and I won't care!

Coffee tastes good, and I need to get to the clubhouse, plant those adders' tongues that are left over, and then sit on my new swing and watch the storms come through. Have a great day, everybody!

Soos, I saw in one of your earlier post that you have that 'special' bond with your Molly that I had with Lovey. I can't imagine which is worse out in the wild, trying to hide from predators and find food scraps whenever possible or doing the same thing except on streets full of danger. She must have fought off other dogs and or been hit by cars. How horrible..but now she has the very best of all lifes. If only we could save them all...thank god for those who keep the shelters open operating oftentimes on a shoestring budget. I am so glad you too have a real loving relationship with the child you unselfishly gave to another in order to provide a better life.
Re your website, could you put up the url in all your posts? I had to search earlier messages in order to sign up. There might be a reason you can't do this and I missed that part.

Good morning! It's going to be a beautiful sunshiny day in the mid 70s here in North Alabama, which is a good thing for those involved with the tornado cleanup effort. I've been raking and carrying branches & twigs to Sarah's curb and working on cleaning out her storm drains. She's off doing errands this morning. It looks like she may have her sister (was hospitalized overnight for dehydration after a fall) & niece stabilized by Monday, so she can get away for a few days R&R at Carolinagals. Will keep you posted.

Glad to see folks getting out planning fun places to go or things to do. Have a great day!

Good Morning ladies... I have coffee but have missed half of the morning... developing a bad habit of not getting up till 9... go to bed way to late...
I forgot to cover my beautiful hydrangea plants before I left last fall... so they are dead... I did put some acid fertilizer on them when I got home hoping it would spark some growth but no luck... they were a beautiful blue... if no luck in a couple of weeks I will replace them... the red bark dog wood survived a second move but has many dead stubs at the bottom... the growth is ready to bloom... I love dog wood... I sure am not a gardner!
The wind has died down and we have sun so I think Shadow and I will venture out this afternoon... need some exercise have not gotten any since I got home...
Traveling friends be careful on the roads... wow you are right gas is $4.17 here now... but will bite the bullet later this summer and head north...
Liz I think you continue your calling of being service to others even though you are on the road... you are one special lady...
Hope you get the garden ground ready to plant Irmi... would love to have a green thumb... my daughter Gwen planted everything last year when she came to stay with me...
Have a wonderful day where ever your feet take you...

Actually, I don't know how to modify my signature any more and don't know if I can put a URL to my website in there. I went to control panel, but don't have the time to wade through and figure out how to do that. Sorry about that! I just don't have the patience to figure out the difficult parts of this website. Each time I tried to add a picture to my signature in the beginning, I was told it's too big. It took me about a half a day to get the pic of Molly. Now, when I see the pics of rigs, pics of animals, etc, that many others have, I can't figure out how they were 'allowed' to have so much in their signature.

Here it is at least once again! I'll also put it in the GTG site.
