GTG in Butte La Rose, LA the last weekend in April

16 Fun-Loving women???? Sixteen???? WOW!!!! That was a GTG and a half! I love seeing the pics----thanks for posting them, and I'll look forward to more as the others get sorted and posted. I wish I could have been there for that event!

I'm home! Spent Monday nite at Martin Dies State Park. And then three more just a hour or so west at Lake Livingston. Got in about 3 pm, posted my first installment to my blog and will add a few snaps here.

But first, let me say that good friends, good food, good music and beautiful country are the perfect ingredients for a week of too much fun!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to go back to Louisiana!!!! And I want all of you to meet me there!!!!

First, our fearless leaders. Carolyn (with Birdie) at St Martin Lake and Martha and Pat (with Birdie and Sharon) on the sidewalk in Breaux Bridge.





Thank you, thank you, thank you Carolyn, Martha, and Pat all so much for the wonderful planning you did to make this a gtg to remember.

Did I mention the beautiful water? This is Henderson Swamp. Sharon, Karen, Birdie and I took a boat tour Saturday afternoon. The water will be 10 - 12 feet higher on these trees in the next several days due to the flooding.



And I know I mentioned the food. We couldn't leave Louisiana without having a platter of boiled crawfish!

Wow, what beautiful lands and architecture. ...and my tummy is full just looking at the restaurant pics. I am now fully warned to get into condition before I head off to a future gtg in the LA or TX area.....
