I'm so sleepy...watched the 'Royal Wedding'

Postby Travelinana » Fri Apr 29, 2011 10:30 am

Did anyone else get up to watch? My bladder woke me at 2:30 so I was glued to the TV until 6:30. I'm just now up again. I kept remembering the one in 81...my little daughter absolutely loved it and had scrapbooks of them. My thoughts were of course on the scandels and boy they were juicy. I am one of those who 'doubts' Harry's royal blood but I love him. He is a soldier thru and thru. He rode in a carriage with the little attendants and you could tell he was having a ball. He was no doubt also having a ball with William as they were standing waiting for Kate to begin her walk down the aisle. Kate has a beautiful sister and mom. Just thought I would give little tidbits for those who missed it live. (This is probably a dumb question...where is spellcheck?)

I also woke up at 3:00 and made the mistake of turning on the TV so I watched the wedding until 4:30 then back to sleep. I loved Kate's dress (didn't think she would wear the strapless that most girls wear today) - Diana's dress was so wrinkled. Hope William & Kate have a great life and that she doesn't get overwhelmed with the Royal thing. Didn't see Harry too much - I think he is really cute and always has a michieveous smile.

Got up at 7:15 and have a dental appointment this AM - would rather watch more of the Royal wedding and nap on and off. LOL

Well, crap! I'm really getting upset with losing my posts on this forum. I wish whatever is causing it would get fixed! :x

Sorry, but I'm not in the mood to retype everything but will just say the wedding was splendid, and the bride beautiful.

I thought her dress looked familiar and then read the newspapers this morning. It looks very similar to the one Grace Kelly wore at her wedding--classic and elegant.

I got up at 4AM and watch the whole dang thing....I love these things!!! Yes, the dress was very "Grace Kelly" and fit Kate perfectly....I thought the whole thing was relaxed and happy.....lot better than when his parents were married 30 years ago....Great occasion for the British people....then I cleaned up the camper and took an hour and a half nap.....after 2 early mornings, (thunderstorms woke me yesterday at 4am.)....I'll hit the hay early tonight.... ;)

Sassy woke me up at 4 a.m. to go out, so thought I would put the TV on and see what was going on. Watched some of it for awhle, but at that point in time, it was more about Diana and Charles. So after bringing the girls back in, went back to sleep for awhile as I did have to work today. Woke up about 6 and watched the wedding till itwas time to leave for work at &:45. Such a beautiful couple and love to watch the British pagentery. I nor modern, rushed world, it is nice to see somethng that is still taken slow and easy and dates back many centuries. And the do it so well.
