RABBITS May 1st

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

RABBITS May 1st

GOOD MORNING ALL!

I forgot that April only has 30 days, so I missed RABBITS yet again! I hope some of you remembered so we can all steal a bit of the good luck for May.

Will be thinking of you today, dpf-----let us know how everything came out! :)

It's a breezy, sunny, mild so far (upper 70s) morning here in St. Cloud, and a perfect day to kick back and be thankful I have no work to do here. I organized the trailer more yesterday, and prepared for my inevitable trip home. However, last night my daughter, Mandy, called and said that she and Joe and his parents are trying to come down here after school is over for her (end of May) to check out the house in Orlando to use while his mom takes her grandkids to Disney.....then, without blinking an eye, (of course I couldn't see those hazel eyes) Mandy offered to travel back home with me! I would so love that time in the car with her, and to have a traveling companion for the trip home! So now, I am postponing my return trip for another month. She may not be able to swing the trip down, but, if not, I will still go it by myself, of course. It's so nice down here I won't mind the delay at all!

I'm not sure what I will do today, other than vacuum the pool again and swim in it. My cough seems better, so far, although it was murder trying to sleep last night as it kept waking me up. My hernia feels much less sore today after a night on my back.

Hope you all are having a good Sunday doing something fun, and that those on the road find good traveling weather. I am enjoying my mini-vacation in my trailer by the other pond!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good Morning All - It is raining again - In the last 15 days we've had some rain in 14 of them. This is getting old. It makes the house so dark - so this morning I went around and turned all the lights on the first floor on. Usually I'm the one who turns them off. I am trying to shake what is a mild depression before it gets any worse. Need some sunshine!
Got my hair permed. Now just have to deceided if I like it or not. Its pretty short too. The beauty shop in the tiny town where I had it done has two cats and a dog wandering around in it all the time. One of the cats likes to sit on laps when you're under the dryer!!! Life in the country.
I am still loading programs into the new PC - think I've got it all done when I realize nope forgot that one. Two that I use when I do stained glass are still waiting to get put on. Hope they work with Windows 7.
There is a fresh pot of coffee - 1/2 cafe and croissants from Sams Club - very good.
Everyone have a good and safe day.

Good Morning... it is May day when I lived with my grandma we used to take flowers and leave them on the porch of people but the trick was to not let them see you... it was a fun thing to do... and kept me busy for a while...
We have sunshine for 3 days and that is only 3 of 12 I have been home... everything is very green and the trees are all leaved out so the rain has helped... so I understand Carol, how you feel about rain rain rain...
Sounds like things will go good for you Soos if you get a driving/riding companion for your trip north... I had a wonderful trip and I hope you do also...
Dpf know the procedure... yikes think it is maybe time for me to have it done again... good luck...
I trust you all have a good day...

I remember those days. It was a lovely thing to do.

In one more week I should have the "all clear" to be more active, so I've planned a trip up to Ft. Collins with my parents and Bobby for Mother's Day weekend. Haven't been in the RV since the beginning of March, so I'm really looking forward to the trip.

It's sunny, but cold here in Denver, but supposed to warming up all week. It's dog park day, but since I still am not allowed to walk them we're staying at home. Jess can be off leash, but Timmy is still scared and unpredictable, so he has to be on-leash. I've been supplying them with tons of treats and hoping Mom is able to come and walk them through the neighborhood.

Have a great start to May!

Good morning, after two days of sun we are back to the clouds. I'm supposed to go to a picnic this afternoon but may pass and take in one of the new wineries. DH and I went to an all you can eat Greek dinner at one of the local churches last night, it was soooo good. Nothing spicy hot just lots of interesting flavors. They have been doing this event for 14 years and I just discovered it last year. I think it may take me a year to get rid of all the extra calories I ate, oh my gosh the amount of butter in the desserts especially!

I had a good day yesterday seeing a former roommate I hadn't seen in several years. She has two lovely children in college and a life she loves, her DH is an airline pilot and they have travel all over the world. It is always so wonderful to know your friends are doing well and are happy.

We are supposed to get several more inches of rain that this area certainly doesn't need. Lots of families in shelters and many who have lost their homes in places where it has never flooded before.

Time to finish getting dressed and head out to church. Take care all and have a fun day.

Every muscle in my body and all of my bones are aching. My son and his wife and three kids, ages 20 months, 3, and 4 and a half, just left. I don't know how they do it. Kids are demanding attention, older two are grabbing toys and getting in each other's way, oldest spend most of his time tattling on middle one, little one is trying to climb on everything and not get knocked over by older two. Now place is mostly cleaned up and i am resting. Whew!

We went to Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn yesterday, and all had a good time, but they are remodeling a large portion--the whole transportation area except for the trains--so they have moved some of the cars to the edges, but other vehicles like bicycles and Henry's old camper were not on display. A lot of walking for my bad back and my son is not feeling well from medical problems.

I only have two bedrooms, so youngest slept in portacrib in second bedroom and middle one, who never stays in bed, slept in my den which opens into the living room. Oldest slept on hideabed in far end of living room. Hard to get them asleep, but worked out oK. When I bought my condo 14 years ago, I never thought I would need more than two bedrooms, but I forgot about grandkids.

Now I am showered and resting. Love'em but they really wear me out.

Morning everyone!
The sun is shining, the sun is shining!! Did I forget to tell you, "the sun is shining?"!!! Wow, what a difference it makes to your mental health to see that warm ball of light! Thank you, Jesus!

After watching my GD's soccer game yesterday AM, I came home and mowed my lawn. Front and back. Then grocery shopped and picked up a prescription. It wasn't long before my SIL calls and asks if I could watch the girls as he wanted to attend a poker game at a friend's house. (my DD had to work, flew to Vegas this time). Anyway, he brought them over plus their bikes so I got in my very first bike ride for the year. I started out strong but soon ran out of gas. The older GD wasn't feeling well so she didn't mind stopping, but the 9 yr old has energy to spare and love biking with me. So later we rode a bit more and then I timed her as she rode around certain areas in my subdivion. Then came the sidewalk chalk. My driveway looks like a murder scene with all the chalk outlines! The eventually got picked up around 10.

Just got a call from my niece. She made it all the way from Illinois and will be stopping by in an hour or so. Will only get one night with her as she has plans with her friend to do more traveling around the state and wants to see the ocean before heading back to the midwest.

Amy, sounds like your recovery is moving along. I think of you every day. Stay strong.
Soos, good news on having a traveling buddy! Hope that works out.
Judy, get some rest. I agree with you 100%, but think of the memories they now have.
And I also remember making May Day baskets and hanging them on doors! We always had tons of violets tucked in them.
BJ, sounds like you had a fun time with eating out and visiting w/your long time friend.
Carol, I use to stop by a lady's home to get my hair done and her poodle, who didn't like anyone else, always sat on my lap the whole time.
Still praying for the families enduring the aftermath of the tornado disaster. Sarah, hope you can get back to your home and routine soon, too.
Ok, I'm copying my post and hoping it will go thru!! Fingers crossed.
Have a blessed day!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Yeah I know it's after 12 noon, but what the heck! :D Today the temp right now is 60 but feels a little cooler as it's overcast with a slight breeze. I go outside to sit with Shade and wear my jacket.

Took a break, Ken the other neighbor came over to shoot the you know what. He's bored this weekend. Normally he goes home to Colorado to his wife on the weekends but a group of guys out at the mine had talked about going out on their quads so last weekend he brought his down so he could go and then nobody went out. So he is really at loose ends. Says he's cleaned his 5'er from one end to the other, he's done all his laundry today and grocery shopped to restock his fridge and freezer cause he even cleaned that all out yesterday too! Jodi is busy cleaning her trailer. She says her 'booty call' is coming by today! I keep telling her that one of these days I'm gonna hang out the door when he pulls in and yell, " Jodi, your BOOTY CALL" is here!!!!   She's threatened to murder me if I do!!! ;)

OK, nothing much going on today, will have to go clean the restrooms here in a little bit. Then I guess Kelly and I will have to start cleaning house. With both neighbors cleaning theirs it is making me feel lazy and guilty!! Hope everyone has a great day, remember to be safe in everything that you do! Prayers to all those suffering from the tornadoes.

Love to All

I talked to Sarah last evening... they are without electric still and may be for sometime... the storms took out most of those high towers in the mountains thus leaving thousands and thousands in the dark... the picture of Guntersville St Park that Mitch posted is scary... Sarah said the park where I stayed was ok... at least she thinks so... they can charge their phones at a Publix Grocery store once a day... they have no bread... she was able to get 10 lb of ice so she got a small bottle of milk... mostly she has peanut butter and crackers, and can open a can of something or the other but eats it cold... she does not have a grill and her house is totally electric... I told her the pioneers had to go to bed at dark so she can pretend she is one of them!! Please keep her and the many many others that are living this aftermath of the storms in your prayers...
