It's a beautiful day here in PA. No rain predicted for the next few days - so a great weekend for the campers.

Hope our southern contingent is taking care and staying safe.

Coffee, hot chocolate, coffee cake, juice - whatever you want it - fill yourself up in our virtual kitchen.

I'm up, not sure about the shine part though since I got up around 4:00AM to watch the royal wedding--not. Actually Winnie woke me and when I got up with her I realized the wedding was just starting so I couldn't resist. The actual exchange of vows was short but they had lots of music. Kate's dress is beautiful I thought but her sister was also stunning.

Water continues to rise around the area and there is much controversy a bit farther south as to whether to break a levee and flood many thousand acres of Missouri farm land or save the small Illinois town of Cairo. I would hate to be the one to make that decision!

Hope all are safe today, I'm especially keeping Sarah in my thoughts.

Yes, I also woke up early to NOT see the royal wedding. Got up at my regular 5am to get ready for school and turned on the local news only to find that it was replaced with the wedding. I admit to seeing some of the ceremony as I walked in and out of the bedroom getting dressed. Loved the dress - Grace Kelly was a favorite of mine.

Our weather is beautiful today and slated to be warm and sunny all weekend long. Great. I have been battling some water problems in the den again which is not good when you have an interested buyer. At least I will have dry weather to repair the problem. While we were spared so much of the damage here in Nashville it is the one year anniversary of the terrible floods of last year and I am signed up to go on a clean up party on a nearby creek this weekend. It turned into a raging river during the floods and took over the nearby interstate wiping out homes and a school. It's back in its banks but there is still a lot of debris so I will help with the clean up there.

Called to check on my brother in NE GA last night just to be sure he is safe. They had some strong storms but fortunately it didn't affect him. He has enough on his plate. His beautiful wife of 44 years was stricken with congestive heart failure very suddenly last weekend. She is in the hospital near U of GA with blood clots in her lungs. The last thing he needs now is anything else to deal with. I know she's feeling better because she's already worrying them to let her go home. Her last visit to the hospital was to have a baby in 1982!

It's Friday so I hope all have a great weekend ahead. I will call to check on Sarah again this afternoon. Think I'll belly up to the breakfast bar before my first class gets here. Thanks Bethers for setting up this morning!

Good morning ladies!

Beth, thanks for the breakfast. I hope your weather stays dry for you this weekend.

It's a sunny & dry day in MD and the weekend looks like it will be nice. Much of my weekend will be spent planting flowers in flowerbeds and putting some of the vegetable plants I started in the ground. The squash & cucumber plants are ready to go in the ground but the tomato plants will stay in their starter pots for another week or two. The hot pepper plants will go in a large container because we found out a couple years ago that the rabbits enjoy them as much as we do.

Have a great day and a beautiful start to your weekend.

Hi All!

Sorry I missed Morning Coffee. I got up at 4:00, due to the hooting of a barred owl outside my screen room where I was sleeping, and watched the entire wedding. I am always amazed at the oppulence and architecture and bells and rituals at those royal events. I really love watching them. I am also reinforced in knowing exactly where my genetics comes from as those people look more like me than any others on earth----especially poor not-so-beautiful Camilla! I even stayed for the balcony kiss. I am very thankful for Dianna's contribution to the boys' genetic pool, as they are both very handsome guys, and quite normal acting compared to the other royalty!

Then I went back to sleep until I awoke for a late breakfast. After that, I went out to plant my adders' tongues, had a coughing fit when I was finished (I still have some leftovers to find spots for) coughed my hernia out and into a painful condition, so back insdie I came to lie down again. I slept for about 4 hours, in between coughing.

Tonight I went out to WalMart to get some more mulch and edging for the side of the house where I planted today, and I will doctor that area up tomorrow. I may then go to the trailer in St. Cloud to get my chicken salad, pasta salad, and other stuff I forgot there, and I will also take some stuff from here that I need to pack in the trailer to take home with me. It's much cooler tonight, at about 60 degrees outside, and feels so good on the porch here. My retirement check posted to my bank account today, so I paid any outstanding bills I still owed and am good to head home when/if the storms cease. I am shooting for next Sunday at this point. I will miss nights like this one here in the sunny south.

Beth, I hope you have a pretty weekend, and I hope you enjoy it in your luxurious campground.

Horizon Seeker, I hope your son's wife recovers completely and that things will get much happier for your whole family. Do they know what caused those lung clots and heart congestion?

Many are busy doing spring things, gardening and all that good stuff. I sure do hope those who were in the paths of those latest horrific storms are ok and that all will check in soon.

Kath is happy to be safely home and visiting with all her family-----have a good weekend, all!
