Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday with a bright sun shining

Postby dayspring39 » Sun Apr 17, 2011 8:35 am

Good Morning come on in and visit... I have not made coffee this morning... it is cold and oh yes the sun is shining here in Palmersville TN... I think Shadow wants to be adopted by Mitch and George they have a cupboard full of treats... that goes to show you how loyal these little wiggle four footers are... easy come easy go...
I think today will be much warmer than yesterday... how nice that will be!!
Let me see for all of you that do not know Mitch she is a tall, very slender blonde, with no sense of humor... oh well so I lie... she is just as I pictured her and even more... very cute little lady full of energy... a wonderful hostess... no pictures yet to post in GTG but we will have some... my camera will go in with me this morning...
I will be here until Tuesday morning then on my last leg home... going on the record as the longest trip home in history of RVing...
I trust you all will have a great day what ever is on the agenda...

Shadow, now you understand why Herschel appreciates the little princess so much :) Isn't the Blue Fish/Marlin place neat? And the travel time? Not an issue. Think of all that is missed every time we rush through those miles. I am thinking that you your idea of moving along is just right! And we know Shadow agrees. I am just checking in this morning myself before heading off to our local armory. Puppy Match day! I get to judge Jr. SHowmanship and the Sporting Group. That means I have to meet and touch and talk to and go over all the sporting group puppies....sigh, it is a tough job. Well then they will expect me to give ribbons and things but it is the meeting of puppies that is the most fun. :)

Also, thinking of Lori in PA and anyone else in the Harrisburg, PA area. My English Cocker friends are reporting that the Mason Dixon AKC dog shows have been canceled for Sunday and Monday. The reports are that water came from a nearby creek and came up over the roofs of some of the cars in the parking lot. Some RV's had water up 5 ft on their sides. The water got into the building Saturday. It was/is a mess. No reports regarding specifics so we don't know if animals were trapped in RV's or if exhibitors were able to remove their animals safely and get most of the rigs out to higher ground. I know that the river around here are roaring but within their bounds. Today break and sunshine will help settle things down.

Of to try to look the part. I like working with the Jr's best. Herschel is disappointed that he doesn't get to take advantage of the sunshine personally......

The rain has been rediculous up here in PA this month. I think I was told we were at 4 inches above normal - and that was before the rain yesterday that never stopped. The sun is breaking through for awhile this morning, though, so that's nice. Walking Peaches after work last night in the downpour wasn't so nice, but we survived it. Well, she didn't even mind it - so I survived it; she enjoyed it.

Luckily where I am the really bad weather (tornados) don't usually come over us here - and last night was no exception. As they kept showing them headed towards us, just before they would have arrived in this area the tornado watch front split to go north and south of us. That's exactly what the manager here said would happen. I like being on this "mountain" if that's the case. I never even heard and thunder - one couple told me they heard a thunderclap in the distance twice. But we sure did have the winds and rain. Hoping Lori's cg stayed above water.

Hope everyone stays safe - on and off the road.

You may not have had coffee this morning, but me thinks that Mitch has been pouring Carolyn's Coolers down your throat! :P

Good morning everyone!

It's still morning here on the east coast and it's on the chilly side. The rains from yesterday has stopped and the sun is shining. But he are having lots of brisk winds naking it feel much colder than the mid 50's that is actually is.

We ran into town this morning and picked up the last of whatever we're going to need for the 3 day Easter weekend at the campground. Our meals are planned and we're keeping our fingers crossed that at least some of the weekend will be warm and rain free.

I've been concerned about those on the road and the others camping or even at home with all the crazy weather that's been hitting different areas of the country. Please be careful wherever you are.

I am very disappointed this morning. My potential new roommate backed out on me yesterday, so I am back to square one. :(

I did find someone to buy my airbed I put on Craigs list last month, so I will be meeting them tomorrow to exchange that for $40. Every little bit helps!

I spilled water on my laptop screen yesterday and it caused a huge water mark underneath my screen. I checked into how to remove it and found a site that said to put a fan on it for a day or so to dry it out, so I tried that last night with my portable fan/heater and this morning most of it is gone, so will do that again later today to try to get rid of the rest of it.

Lots on my mind again so that will occupy my brain for the day. Maybe once I get to work, I will be distracted enough to let go of my worries for awhile.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Morning!

The two GDs left around 9 last night. The youngest didn't want to go home, ;) but (shame on Grammy), I insisted that her parents would miss her and she needed to go.
Love those two but boy-howdy! do they wear me out! I'm going to have to insist that I now watch them separately if possible. They are just so opposite on what they want and so ends up an argument on what Grammy should do, and with whom. I also had the neighbor girl here and she likes to pretend that I'm her Grammy, too, and acts like the other two. So I treat her as such! I did let them move my living room furniture around so they could have more room to play. We also made cookies, again (did that last weekend, too), and frosted them. They think Top Ramen noodles are a treat so I ended up making 6 pkgs of those!! I sat and played a board game with them until the voice decibels rose too high and I needed to walk away for a bit! Wow, can girls get loud playing games. They weren't fighting but laughing so I allowed it. My dog has been hiding out on my bed for 2 days!

Needless to say, that me and Choco slept soundly last night!! I think I will stay in my jammies all day today unless the sun comes out. Slight chance of that, they say.

Kathleen, give Mitch a hug for me. That little dynamo keeps us worrying. Enjoy your visit with each other!

Have a blessed Sunday!

Well, at 12:15 p.m.. I am a little late for coffee this morning, but it is still morning on the left coast.

It is a very blustery, snowy Sunday here in Michigan. We are under a Wind Advisory till 11 p.m. tonight and it has been snowing since last night. On and off snowshowers. Perhaps an inch of very wet stuff. Visibilities are anywhere from good to near whiteouts, depending on where you are and the intensity of the snow squall. I just returned from church and breakfast out and the roads are for the most part good, except for areas where it's open and the snow is blowing across the road. Gaylord itself, being at 1349 feet in elevation always has more nastier weather than the outlaying areas around it, due to it's high elevation and being wide open. so once I get out of town, it's a dramatic change in weather. But like where Beth is, we are also lucky in that most of the severe weather fronts split here too and go around us for the most part.

I am glad that this is not a garage sale day or we would have not even bothered with it. As was, with the rainy weather yesterday, it was very quiet. But we did very well the previous two days. I still have stuff over there yet to sell, but we are going to do another one, the weekend after Easter and that's it. My neighbor is pretty well cleared out as far as her house is concerned. All she has left to sell is a TV, nightstand and dresser and that's it. The one remaining bedroom set she is giving to her son. Yesterday she sold her dining room table and we are supposed to deliver it to the new owner this afternoon unless plans change. I may not be involved in it but shall see. The table is big and has 4 chairs. One of the other neighbors was going to take it over in his truck and I might have to use my truck to take the chairs. We only have to go about a mile of less from here, around the road to the other lake next to our subdivision. So no big deal.

I was really hoping this would have been a nice day, so I could continue to work on the new cupboard doors in my TT, but nope, will have to wait on that. I did get down to Camping World yesterday and spent some of my garage sale cash. May be going back down later on again but not right away. Did learn a bit about power, voltage and power surge protectors etc. while I was down there and got free lunch to boot. There were a lot of people down there and the sales folks were busy writing up paperwork, talking to customers etc., so looks like the RV market is going strong. They have a ton of trailers there right now and a lot in the sold area already too. Surprisingly only about 3 Class C's and a couple of Class A's in the lot. Trend must be swinging to TT's these days.

So guess that's about all new here at the 45th. This is my last full week of off time coming up. Wednesday after Easter is back to work. So will enjoy this week.
