Thanks for your Prayers

Postby retiredhappy » Fri Apr 15, 2011 6:13 pm

Thank you all for your good thoughts and prayers. My new SIL had his neck surgery Wednesday morning and came through with flying colors. They actually sent him home the next day with only a foam collar and that only if his neck feels fatigued. We're all so relieved that it turned out to be easier than the doctors told him. I understand that they have to CYA but they scared the hell out of him. He's home and off work for a week with a "take it easy" when you go back to work orders from the doctors. The next thing will be his back surgery sometime in the winter since the pain meds are controlling it for now.

Wow, that's great news. So glad to hear it. Now - here's expecting the same for when he has the back surgery. And hoping for an easy and painfree convalescence for him now.

Awesome news Karen! How could it not be with all of us at his back and all the prayers flying up?

Glad to hear that the surgery went well and SIL is home earlier than planned. Hopefully, that bodes well for his back surgery. And ditto what Sharon says. carold
