TGIF, I worked this week. So hard to get up at 5am when you are retired. I am ready for happy hour. We had a big drop in temperature and the fire feels so good. I am going to sit a while and decide what's for dinner.

Hey thought I would stop by, throw a couple of pieces of wood on the fire, drag my camp chair up to the fire, pour some of this Irish Cream Liquor into my coffee and relax. Ahhhhhhhh I'll share too if anyone has coffee they want to liven up.

It has rained most of all day here. Not a hard or pouring rain but a even steady rain. One of those slow soakers that actually do some good. We needed it too. It has brought down the temps a little. Soon it will come that I will have to drag out something heavier than a sweatshirt. And then will come the days when ya just never know what to wear when ya go out the door.

Well back to the sweat shop tomorrow. It will be interesting to see what the he77 they do to us this week. Last week Kelly and I together lost 12hrs apiece. They kept sending people home early. They say that they have to many hours on the books and if your stats aren't over 60% they would sent ya home as punishment. Got to love it!!!

Ok ya'll it's time to drink the last of this and head off to bed. This old broad needs some sleep. Pleasant dreams everyone.

It is sure perfect campfire weather but you do need long pants and a hoodie!! I'm fixing some cheese soup for dinner. That out to warm you up!! I was gonna fix some chilli but I got out-voted. I like the cheese soup too though. It has veggies in it and we will probably fix a sandwich to go with it. Gonna pull out some marshmallows to toast tonight, Gonna grab a bottle off the wall----Need something to warm me up a little!! LOL!! Ya'll know I have trouble keeping up with the count on the wall, but I think Beth left 104 bottles so now it 103~~~ Did I count right  :o :D

my grandson was here and gave the lawn one last mowing, carried some camping things down to the cellar for me, so I now only have to bring the camper back from the dealer who is winterizing it and doing the frige servicing,... and cover it with a tarp. Fall "chores" are nearly done. To celebrate i'll pull up my camp chair, take a cup of "hot toddy" and enjoy the fire,.... I'll leave those cold beers up on the wall for all of you,... brrrrrr..... pulling my hood up and sitting close to the fire! :D

That is funny----a fun picture!! I'm awake----don't know why but I am!! Just threw a some logs on the fire and got it roaring again. Need it to stay warm tonight!! Gonna grab a bottle or two off the wall-----need some antifreeze tonight and toasting a kosher hot dog since I don't eat the reg. ones generally!! I am hungry and I think someone ate all the goodies so had to settle for the hot dogs. Since Lori took 2 bottles and left 101-----I'm taking two so that leaves 99 bottles of beer on the wall----99 bottles of beer......... :?

Oh, yeah, chili really sounds good on a rainy, blustery day like today. I think I have some canned beans, tomatoes, and tomato sauce, too. Now to check. Meat would be nice, but optional. Maybe I'll just dump it all in the crock pot, drive down to Wal-Mart for a few needed things, and come back to a good smell. No beer, but maybe I'll open my last bottle of Two-Buck Chuck from Trader Joes. You're all welcome to come share the chili and wine - might even round up some good cheese to shred for the top.

The power of suggestion. I am having chili too. A glass of red wine and the last of the apple crisp. Made a big batch so that I would have some for the freezer. A good dinner for a cold night.

Sorry folks, but they're calling for a cold spell here tomorrow - our high will be in the low 70's. That said, I'm going to Mexico tomorrow - so I'll not feel that chill except when leaving (7 am) and returning - whenever :)

I've been given money and have a whole list of things to get for others. Me, I'm going to just have a fun day and stop in to see if the dentist I want to see is available to xray my teeth and see which ones we want to crown this winter. Might get started on that, even.

I was given a couple plants - one is a jalapeno pepper plant - which is thriving and I have several peppers now. One of the others is a bell pepper plant - and it, toom, is thriving. I've been giving so many peppers away cuz I can't use them all. One of my favorite recipes is a pepper steak I make using flank steak - but can't find flank steak. Going to have to go to the meat dept at one of the stores down here and see if they can get me some.

OK - I think I'll grab a beer off the wall and relax. That leaves ... 96 bottles of beer on the wall.

Hey, Beth.....would you check and see if that dentist does dentures, too..... Now the cat's out of the bag..... :o  Ernie's fault cause he wanted me to ask you..... Seems he thinks we need to make a trip to the dentist this winter, too....and the military/VA doesn't give us dental care anymore....

Now I'll just pull up a chair here in the corner and have another beer....
